    Worst BioWare companions

Mine are Samara and ME2 Jack. Although I disliked Fenris intensely, it was always for who he was, not because of bad writing or acting. In fact, I could completely understand his motivations, and in his position, I would probably feel the same way too. Good acting, good writing. I liked all...

PC Gaming Alliance Seeks Unified, OS-Agnostic PC Game Certification

I think the write of the article is confusing GFWL, the wannabe-Steam trainwreck, with Games For Windows, which was quality assurance (e.g. controller support). GFW is still going strong.

    Movie Defense Force: Daredevil

I really like it, but later discovered almost no-one else did. I thought they used Super-hero physics (you know, when gravity isn't quite the same, and people are more durable than you would expect) really well, the echo-vision was iconic and the cast was great. (What, Jim, no love for a...

    Your Personal Most Played Game

Master of Orion. I must have logged hundreds of hours in that. My most-played modern game is Dragon Age: Origins. About 250 hours.

Same Sex Relationships (Finally) Coming to The Old Republic

A quick note to those who think it is just a matter of including same-sex relationships by not including a gender-check, you also need to re-dub some of the VO work. For every "You are a handsome man"/"We must go through a friendship ceremony so you can be my soul sister", you need a separate...

Poll: XCOM vs Dishonored vs Hitman: Absolution vs Far Cry 3

I voted for XCOM, but I'll be playing all of these games. I don't think you can go too far wrong with any of them.

The Steam/Valve arguement, (Question! not starting a flame war)

I think another point in its favour is that Valve has no shareholders. There won't be anyone questioning why customers are allowed to download games as many times as they want to, without even being, like, charged for it. Of course, this is as long as Gabe Newell is alive. Hang on in there, Gabe!

Gorgeous Gorogoa Uses Art to Break Your Brain

I hope this doesn't fall into the same trap as TRAUMA, which sometimes left you clicking at random, as it didn't give you a lot of direction (you could know what you were trying to do, just not how to do it). Other than that, this looks lovely. P.S. TRAUMA was still a lovely way to spend a...

    Teens Prefer Console Games

....25.3% of teenage gamers, but now interest only 17.4% of them - roughly an 8% decline.... No, that's a 33% decline. Ouch!

    Matt Smith

Moffat is great at having wonderful ideas, like The Empty Child, The Weeping Angels (especially this week's Statue of Liberty, which he does NOTHING with), Vashta Nerada and the Silence, but he can't seem to execute them properly. Matt Smith is great as the doctor. I just wish the writers...

    Space Schlongs

Would it be too pedantic to point out that the naked sectoidd were clones and we were specifically told they had no space junk? Almost all the other alien races had clothes, or were robots.

Poll: Do you enjoy playing games as much as you did when you were a kid?

I still enjoy playing games, but now I can afford all the games I want, but I don't have the time to play them. I begrudge the time playing games that don't have a specific end-game (games like SimCity or Diablo, both games I loved when I was younger, and less appreciative of my impending...

More Sophisticated Games May Follow PEGI Enforcement

Exactly. The PEGI has replaced the BBFC. Nothing has changed. PEGI ratings were given the same legal status as the BBFC ratings so this could happen. Whoever wrote this article missed this completely.

Poll: dark souls pc, will you buy it?

I won't, because it has GFWL attached, alas. I've been burned too many times by that monstrosity.
