Yeah, I agree with that. For that reason I wasn't interested in ME Andromeda in the first place, so at least I'm not disappointed. But what I would want from Mass Effect would be a game in which you can be the squad members doing their thing: like assassinating people as Thane or stealing stuff...
I don't see anything of the problem that is described here: I got a problem with Rise of the Tomb Raider of a very different kind: it's taking itself way too serious.
You see: there was a time in which Lara Croft would be fighting a giant bird monster with human fists in a cave in Tibet. Or a...
What I would want to see is for the franchise to immediately reboot, or rather, de-boot, right back to the old Lara but with the current gameplay mechanics. But of course the question is what do you think is gonna happen...
Well, they're gonna make a third game in this reboot series, and when...
Wolfenstein The New Order
Wolfenstein The Old Blood
Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain
Far Cry 4
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
Dead or Alive 5 Last Round
The Order 1886
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
The reboot Tomb Raider games have been a huge improvement in the gameplay department, no doubt. But in my opinion Tomb Raider is not the right platform for the gritty and realistic style, or if it is they're not doing it right.
I played the game on the Xbox 360 and the gameplay was awesome...
It would be tonaly inconsistent; a 'fantastical' Lara belongs in a fantastical world and a gritty Lara belongs in a gritty world.
I don't like the reboot Lara and her world in the least bit, so I'd say hell yeah bring old Lara back, but together with her old world.
Probably because you just made that up. Where did I even say something remotely close to that? And here's something else: if you believe that old Lara was a 'one-dimensional sex puppet' it's obvious that that is the only thing that YOU are willing to see.
In terms of gameplay and production values and all that this is an excellent game in my opinion, but I still did not enjoy it because I do not like the rebooted Lara and the general tone of the game. This realistic Nolanized version does not allow for fantastical things like monsters, dinosaurs...
There's at least one: I have watched the Ken Burns documentary several times (all 12 hours of it) and two of my favourite films are Glory and Gettysburg.
Also, it may surprise you to know that there's a complete comic book series from Belgium; Les Tuniques Bleues, that's about the American...
What about the lesser known battlefields of World War II? So not the Normandy landings and Stalingrad again, but for instance:
- The Kokoda Trail campaign: Japanese vs. Australians in New Guinea; the battle that saved Australia from a Japanese invasion.
- The East African Campaign: British vs...
I'm playing this game now, and I'm honestly enjoying the hell out of it. Probably due to this being my favourite historical time and place and people like Marx and Darwin being some of my favourite historical figures. Having two assassins to pick from is also a major plus. 9 out 10 for me.
This shows once again that everybody is different and has different views on sexualization. And if you truly believe in freedom of thought you have to accept and respect that; something I think is severely lacking in certain social justice warriors - you know who I mean...
So my respect goes...
