    268: Real-Life Sidekick

I agree; playing as Otacon could be pretty fun if done right. Make the hacking mechanic interesting enough, and I think you'll find a sizable number of people willing to be the "hacker" to Snake's "action dude". Someone's gotta bypass security locks and find the useful information!

    214: Home Alone

Exactly what I was thinking. Home, like chat rooms and the like, are about what you put into it. Sure, people can be dicks, but that's not the entirety of the situation.

    195: The Cutting Room Floor

Here here to not abandoning the so called "interactive movies"! Granted, I have never really played one of the 90s titles you mentioned, but being an MGS fan, I have heard the term attributed to games quite a few times. Great article.

Barry the Goat is now the official mascot for RE5. He does one hell of a job.

Poll: MGS4 : Am I the only one who is worried?

Ah, but in Zelda, you are not telling one large cohesive story (no matter how many Zelda fanboys argue otherwise; I can talk, I used to be one of them). MGS (or to be specific, the tale of Solid Snake), however, is a grand, singular tale. And like all good tales, it must end or it gets ruined...

    Recommend me: Previous-Gen console games

For the PS2, I highly recommend both Final Fantasy Chronicles and Chrono Cross (they're both PS1 games, but they play fine on the PS2). I am a huge fan of the Chrono series, and the reason why I recommend Final Fantasy Chronicles is that it contains two games, one of them being the first game of...

Poll: MGS4 : Am I the only one who is worried?

Oh, I am highly excited for MGS4. Being a huge MGS fan, however, I am a tad worried. Unlike most fans (and I can say this out of my own personal experience with many members of MGS fandom), my favourite MGS game was MGS2. It was deep, thought-provoking, played with the video game medium, and...

141: How to Build a Holodeck

Ah, but if true VR gaming were ever accomplished, I think there would be more than enough incentive for one to seriously attempt "becoming Samus Aran". Speaking for myself, anyway, I know that if there were some kind of full VR game in which I could actually go on a space-faring adventure, or...

141: How to Build a Holodeck

In terms of smells, I would imagine that you could have some kind of slider akin to the sliders found in option menus for music and sound effects. Then it would be up to the player whether or not they want the smells (and how intense those smells should be). But the option for smells should not...

141: How to Build a Holodeck

Very interesting article. I myself have pondered over this very concept many, many times. Something akin to the holodeck would be amazing for gaming and all interactcive media. The one problem in particular that will be quite a hassle to overcome, however, will be the problem of the running jump...
