I feel a little sad since id has always been sort of a great beacon; a great, successful indie studio that was still going strong. They always made the games that they wanted to make and were so good at it that they could support themselves for years. Guess not so much anymore.

If I were a rich bastard I would get one just for the constant Wikipedia access and almost have a real Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Otherwise, yeah, actual books are just nice to read. My copies of Lord of the Rings are from the sixties and they have a nice, musty smell and goofy cover art...

You know who else made a chart and statements just like this? SNK. For their Neo Geo system comparing it to 'inferior' 16-bit systems. Not long before it tanked.
