Guild Wars 2.
The final boss is hyped up to be a force on par with a ferocious tornado which will indiscriminately destroy everything that crosses it's path, then you keep pressing 2 to win.
You should be able to download Halo 3 for free before the end of the month, I'm not sure how active the multiplayer is but it's free stuff.
As for racing I'd recommend one of the F1 games, F1 2013 came out a week ago so F1 2012 should be reasonably priced if you find a pre-owned copy.
It's the silly little things that make it hilarious, me and a mate went into the strip club and he went off for a private dance, I waited outside and told him to engage maximum groping in an attempt to get thrown out.
Instead he noticed you can "flirt" with the stripper by chatting to her with...
Skyrim:
I stealthily made my way into the Riften orphanage to kill Grelod the Kind, I carefully positioned myself behind her while remaining undetected and went in for the killing blow.
For some strange reason I didn't have a weapon equipped and I was treated to a beautiful animation of my...
I only ever played the first game on PS1 but it was a boat load of fun at the time, if a 3rd person shooter was enjoyable on PS1 hardware then surely it should produce a euphoric high on current hardware.
I quite like him, I think the problem stems from the generally boring gameplay in the majority of AC games when you do control him.
AC1 just had you snooping around a small area, AC2 had a small amount of combat and dialogue, Brotherhood improved it slightly with the freerunning sections and...
I unfortunately don't have my old Master System any more, I've no idea what happened to it and I just assume it's buried with a load of other crap from when I moved house.
I do still have:
Gameboy (with Tetris, Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Trading card game and Tony Hawks 2)
Gameboy Colour...
Obligatory post complaining about how I have to pay £1, it's a conspiracy, disregard for exchange rate, etc...
Glad to finally get rid of the random £1 sat in my steam wallet though, totally worth it.
I may get a PS4 eventually, I completely skipped the current generation (barring the 360 I had for 3 months until I traded it for a bass guitar) so I'm more likely to buy a cheap PS3 and work my way through the catalogue of games I've missed out on.
I'm all for emulation.
A while back I found Driver 2, popped it in my PS2 and started playing it for the first time in about 10 years. Unfortunately it's an absolute slideshow on its native hardware to the point where it's almost unplayable in parts.
Decided to rip the disks onto my PC and run...
I had a similar problem with Half Life on PS2, I vaguely remember the screen ratio being slightly off and the frame-rate being silky smooth compared to other PS2 games. If I had to take a random guess (bearing in mind this was about 10 years ago), I would say that there was a boat load of screen...
All of my PC games are physical copies, I don't have a vast collection since I don't game too much but something about buying digital copies rubs me up the wrong way.
