I'm not sure we would ever get A.I. and realize it: the most powerful thing A.I. can do is lie. If we program them not to lie, then we limit their potential and prevent them from getting to true A.I. status.
The best thing the A.I. can do is trick us into thinking it is what we want it to...
With the time setting and the flaws mentioned, I would rather play a newer version of this game: not that it even sounds bad, but I think a 2nd version of this game could be a winner and it would feel a shame to play less than that.
I think it boils down to Egypt being associated with one of the top three slave events of the worlds: it causes friction in the immersion.
With all the games that reference the Norse gods though, even many of the Hindi gods, I would honestly like to see an adventure game that plays through...

I'm really looking forward to the day we can apply nano-tech to doing scouting on Mars, etc. for us. That way it can build all the things we need to do this analysis on site, amongst other things like terra forming.
