Same situation here. I can hardly bear turn based RPGs anymore - it's all about live action. In my defence I think it invokes fast thinking and decisions in order to succeed, rather than an unrealistic depth of strategy.
Same....I stopped trying pretty quickly too, that radio and the darkness and the sudden burst of enemy just freaked me the hell out. I stopped playing it and never ever touched the game again.
Sometimes I just don't care. Even when my girlfriend wants to spend time with me, or something. I just couldn't care less and would rather be left alone. :/
Yeah Half Life 2's Ravenholme is particularly disturbing too. F.E.A.R. is probably my all time scariest mainly because it plays with your mind. That game will f* you up. The bit on the ladder when you turn around and see Alma made me wet myself ¬_¬ it's towards the earlier parts of the game
The original Silent Hill still scares the pants off of me. F.E.A.R. too - that game will NEVER get old, and I cannot wait for the proper sequel. Dead Space has kept me jumping and on my toes so far - it's doing its' job
I was 8 when I started on my Atari 2600. Soon developed into the SNES, and then my first PC. I grew up and educated myself using these contraptions, learning about mechanics of games and technology from a very early age.
Long live my Zephyr chipped 360! I believe I got one that wasn't part of the 50% failure rate of the Zephyrs. Thank crikes...I'm starting to want to force a RRoD though while I'm still under the warranty. That Jasper chip is way too reliable for me to risk the Zephyr
Sonic. Mario. The Simpsons. Halo. Elder Scrolls (if you consider that a series) should end at it's high point with Oblivion. Fallout - FO3 was immense...let's not go do a Sonic, right Bethesda?
