Zero Punctuation: Top 5 of 2017

Did the hell freeze over? One of the best games on this list is Zelda? Also, glad that Odyssey ALMOST got 2nd. Almost may not count, but it does in my heart.

So, the big cherry on sundae, I suppose? Thanks for clearing that up.

Escape to the Movies: Kingsman: The Secret Service - Can Lightning Strike Again?

I'm still not sure if Bob liked the movie because the church in-fight scene or he liked it despite the church in-fight scene. In other words, if this movie was a multiple course meal, I am not sure if the scene was the next dish in his course that he loved or the big cherry on top on his...

The Big Picture: The Devil You Know - Part I

I'm sorry. What you wrote as a disclaimer, I read it as "Get ready to get your jimmies rustled". Luckily (for me), mine didn't :D

Escape to the Movies: Life of Pi

Thank you. As a theist myself, I give you my respect *tipping my hat to you*. IMO, the movie and the book tried to make the answer ambiguous for the reader and the viewer to find out. Maybe the author/director was being not so direct for a reason: there is always a room for a...

    The Big Picture: Monster's Movie

Just to let you guys know. This story is pretty old in East Asian countries. FYI, the original Bulgasari (not Pulgasari) story is known in both Koreas, not North alone, and is a bit different from the movie (obviously): 1) The King was not mad with power. He was just oppressing Buddhism...

The Big Picture: MovieBob's Most Anticipated Movies of 2012

Huh, can't say I didn't expect this. Anyway, comments on Bob's selections: 10) Sounds nice, but Jane Lynch as Master Chief... sounds more like Samus than whatnot. Can't think of a title but the premise sounds awfully familiar. 9) Space Nazi.. on the moon... Enough said. Gotta hand it...

Escape to the Movies: The Sitter

OK, I'm confused. So, is this review about him going to another Don't-watch-it-because-it's-not-that-funny with The Sitter or him going nerd-rage on Three Stooges movie?

Escape to the Movies: The Rite

Uh, it's more of a horror aspect that I am looking for, not the plot. Personally, I think plot for both movie genres are pretty typical (at least Act 3 part is). Besides, I think I am more engaged to plot of Asian horror movie (which seldom has good/happy endings) than typical American serial...

Escape to the Movies: The Rite

This is exactly why I always stick to good old Asian horror films, if I ever want to get my horror movie fix. No, not remakes. Remakes tend to remove actual tension and thrill out of the original. Still, love to see Hopkins playing something else other than brain-eating maniac.
