I love the models and the games themselves, and a few of the video games- but I entirely agree that the story/fluff is poorly written. There isn't an original idea to be found, and it's ridiculously over the top (Which wouldn't be bad if everyone didn't take it so seriously.) It's hard enough to...
Avengers 2 was the last super hero movie I went to see because I had interest in it. I don't think I can un-burn myself on superhero movies. The fact that they're turning so far away from individual characters and going for these big mix ups where everyone is a secondary character (And no one is...
It's a niche- the fact that there is so little of a market compared to something like an action figure is what keeps the price up, GW is especially greedy, as well. (They found a way to cut production costs a few years ago, and decided it would be a cool idea to spread that to their playerbase...
That's truly awful. Next I suppose they'll only want you to use their official GW branded tape measu- Oh my god, that actually exists.
I still buy a lot of models of Ebay, but I've been buying from their store less and less. Really the only thing I get now is paints, simply out of...
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only you giving Games Workshop more money.
I'm tepidly saying that things have been improving for most of games workshop, even on the front of Age of Sigmarines, but maybe they haven't forgotten all those toxic behaviors. It really sucks to...
Not sure if Bioware is still using the same system- but all the games of theirs I own have the saves put in a file in the Documents section of my computer, split away from the x86 where the game would be installed to- so, unless they've really went backwards in the past 2 years, you're probably...
Ebay can be a really sound bet for getting into 40k, you can usually find starter boxes for like 70 USD that usually retail for like 85 USD- if you want a larger army, it can cost a lot of money, speaking from personal experience. Games Workshop also puts out some larger box-sets for certain...
Symphony of the Night- something about that title is just so evocative.
System Shock- wonderful alliteration, just rolls right off the tongue.
Beneath a Steel Sky has always stuck out to me for some reason.
I feel like Fallout and Skyrim are far more over-rated than Fable. I haven't even heard anyone talk about fable in like two years. I recall them having a pretty lukewarm reception, too.
But no, you're right, the two most over-rated RPGs out there that lack good characterization, lively world...
The Witcher 3: Yeah- it's amazing- and I don't know why I haven't played it in so long, only getting like 20 hours in.
Planet Coaster: The RTC 4 we deserved- I guess I just haven't been in a nostalgia hyped mood lately, that, or the fact that my urges to play RTC or games like Zoo Tycoon seem...
I use Campaign Cartographer for most of my detail-oriented map making needs. It's a tad bit on the pricey side (45 USD), and it has a tiny bit of a learning curve, but has a bunch of different stylistic choices and looks quite a bit better than most stuff MS paint can do.
