What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

No, what he said was if you're going to boycott, actually boycott. So I'm asking what people actually do boycott themselves. Some of us who are a little smarter want to stop it before it becomes major. Depends on the company. With Ubisoft that's what I do. With Activision-Blizzard and...

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

I figure the lists could end up getting pretty big if it's for anything.

So finished that you had to spend effort to let me know? If you were actually finished you just wouldn't have responded.

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

Ignoring who made something is what's utterly retarded. It shows a deep lack of understanding of how money works.

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

No, boycotting a company and then buying from another company that sends money back to the same shareholders is stupid.

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

That's because I dislike them for multiple reasons, not just one. Errr.... no, but if some people do agree that's fine. I did preface it pretty clearly, if you don't follow a regular show that's featured here on the Escapist, I don't really feel like doing any extra hand-holding. Yeah...

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

It's a short list, consisting of 4 companies. There's still EA, Ubisoft, THQ, Microsoft among the big names. Tons of smaller ones beyond that.

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

What you really mean is that you spoke without thinking and are weaseling out of admitting that not only are you wrong, but that your argument was a red herring to begin with.

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

Most of the time, there's a perfectly good alternative (or even a better one). Occasionally there's something unique that might really sting to not play, but more likely than not it's easy to find a substitute.

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

Java sucks. I hate it, I don't mind that Microsoft tried to kill it because in the end it dying is good. Just like Apple trying to kill Flash. I hate flash, and it's great that they took the charge even if I otherwise dislike them. Microsoft certainly has a history, yes, but they got hit with...

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

Please tell me what anti-consumer practices Stardock, GamersGate and Good Old Games have? What about Mojang? Ambrosia SW?

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

Continuing to support companies with anti-consumer practices is stupid.

What companies do you actually refuse to buy from?

Given the latest Jimquisition, I'm wondering which companies people actually are engaging in a personal boycott for. Sometimes you can get other people to join in, but it's usually just that - personal. So for me. Activision - this shouldn't come as a surprise, it mainly has to do with...

    Jimquisition: BOYCOTT!

That's some interesting backstory. Particularly given Valve's face of being modder friendly, and it's rather familiar given Dota 2. Look at something someone else has made, buy the rights to it (not necessarily from the people who made it), and profit.

    So, I just tried OnLive

That is the main issue, I can easily go through 10GB in a day, which is still noticable with my 250GB download cap. It used to be 110GB though, so if it gets automatically bumped to 400-500GB it'll start being more viable.
