I didn't like the first one. It never felt worth the price of a full game; naturally, the second one doesn't exactly thrill me either. I think they should have just waited and released L4D and L4D2 together as L4D, because neither of them are big enough to warrant the full price in my eyes...

It's a good game, and I hope the360 gets the updates soon. Also, can't wait for the Scout update!

I don't like achievement farming, though I could understand it for the Medic stuff when you had to get every one of them, since they just weren't good achievements. I have nothing against boosters (unless they're boosting on my team and being basically usseless to me), but I think it's a cheap...

Good read. I don't agree with Blow on everything, but he makes a convincing argument, I'll give him that. As for Braid, it was a fun, good game and I liked it when it didn't frustrate me (I'm terrible at platformers).

Or add to the amount of possible ways to get from point A to B. Creative problem solving was what made Portal, for example, fun to me. I can't see the problem with adding things to do and ways to do them, even if they are ultimately pointless. The pointless stuff is usually what I remember...

Read the beginning of the review section in a gaming magazine. They generally say that a 10/10 isn't perfect, mearly as close to it as is (believed) possible at the time of the review.

I play games because I've always played games. And anyway, they're fun. Besides, the only times reality isn't tedious it's potentially lethal.

I don't like the whole "band theme" thing. It's idiotic to make the game revolve around just one band. Not that I won't be playing it, you understand, I just find it stupid.

No such thing as too picky when it comes to the plot. If it's stupid, it's stupid. It may not ruin the story, but that doesn't make it right either.
