The funny thing is that they did do another bataman figurine not (As far as I'm aware) designed by Tetsuya "Needs more belts and zippers!" Nomura as seen here:
Still not too crazy about this one personally (the hooks on the cape and the massive arm blades bother me, also he has a gun)...
They booked space for two tournament (The male-only and female-only ones) and decided to remove the gender requirement on one and keep the other one gender-specific, that seems like a perfectly reasonable compromise given the circumstances. Would you rather they just cancel the other tournament...
But in all honesty I think doing both a free-access and a female specific tournament seems like the most reasonable way to handle things given that they already booked the space and what not.
Aside from Hylia's soul having a preference for those of noble blood it's not crazy to think it could theoretically just jump to anyone, it's not like Link's spirit has had any preferences in terms of who it picks as a host except that they have blonde hair and that they're typically from common...
To be fair, even though Hylia is gendered as female reincarnation generally ignores the physical gender of any given incarnation's body. The main reason that Hylia was likely gendered as female in the first place is that she represents a lot of typically "feminine" traits, as long as these...
I would say it's ultimately a question of how willing you are to subject yourself to ME1's terrible combat mechanics, as much as I love the story and character of ME1 that combat system was awful in comparison to the later games. The guns lack any real weight and the cover system is clunky to...
While I do agree that ultimately Ubisoft isn't required to give us playable female protagonists, but the excuses they give as to why they don't are just flimsy in light of all the evidence against their claim that making a female character would be too time-consuming and expensive. Again I don't...
They could have easily done it too, they managed it in both Assasin's Creed 4's multiplayer mode (And in the previous games featuring multiplayer) and Far Cry 3's co-op mode. It's not like we're asking them to do something they've never done before, they've demonstrated that they can do it...
If only I could thumb up this comment!
Really I covered this in my facebook comment on the issue, the supposed cost of animating women has never stopped them from including them in the Assassin's Creed Multiplayer in the past or from including one in Far Cry 3's co-op mode. Is animating...
While I will admit that the "gaming community"(use the phrase loosely) and the gaming industry does have a large number of bad habits, I don't think making a character rattle off what amounts to a checklist of them is the best way to go about handling the issues. With Jim at least he's willing...
*Grits teeth* WANT TO BE ANGRY AT PUN BUT IT'S ACTUALLY A GOOD PUN! *takes deep breath*
As my first Final Fantasy game, I can't honestly say I HATE X, because mechanically speaking it's one of my favorite games in the series as far as the combat is concerned, BUT I can still say the plot is...
That what I was assuming, it's a common trick for PR to show off the PC versions running on High-end machines with all the settings maxed out rather than the "locked at meh" console versions of the game. If I know a PC version of a game is imminent I tend to just attribute PR footage to that...
I do have to agree the game looks interesting, I do love the ability to jump on the bosses back, did that to the griffon and I was stabbing him in the spine as he was attempting to take off and managed to make his crash into the ground again, does seem like a game I would enjoy alot.
If it's on the internet it MUST be true :P
But seriously the game is fine, most of the hate is coming from pedantic asshats and the usual "EA IS TEH HITLER!!11!" people. The game is good overall, just has a few minor problems that I personally can look past.
