Any Daggerfall-esque RPGs on PC (aside from the other TES games)?

I was considering giving the Lands of Lore games a shot as they looked promising. Then I found out they're more story-driven and fairly linear, without giving you much to explore outside of the main story. Unless I'm wrong, in which case correct me. As for Two Worlds, both I and II, I had...

Any Daggerfall-esque RPGs on PC (aside from the other TES games)?

Alright, after more than a week of intense searching, I'm starting to suspect such a game might not exist after all. I still find it baffling, but I guess there's nothing that can be done about it. Let's modify the request. Since I can't find an open world RPG that would give me the...

Any Daggerfall-esque RPGs on PC (aside from the other TES games)?

I'm stubborn enough to give it more tries than any sane person would. It's led me to some really interesting results in the past. Well, yes, it definitely was an anomaly back when it came out. I've already mentioned I'm aware of that. With that said, though, it's been nearly 24 years since...

    Any other ideas, anyone?

Any Daggerfall-esque RPGs on PC (aside from the other TES games)?

I watched that video, and in general, the guy who made it seems to enjoy a different style of game design than I do. He bashes Oblivion (and the TES series in general) for putting quantity over quality, having you constantly come across appealing, but ultimately meaningless landmarks, dungeons...

Any Daggerfall-esque RPGs on PC (aside from the other TES games)?

Recently, I decided to give Daggerfall a shot, thanks to it being ported over to the Unity engine and modernized, making it a much more pleasant experience. The thing is, after some point in every playthrough, the game becomes borderline unplayable due to a severe bug in one particular mod I...

What's the Pettiest Thing that made you dislike a game?

Dragon Age 1. I dropped it after learning Morrigan is the only offensive mage in the game. I hated her attitude and her commenting on my every decision in a snarky way.

Looking for an experience similar to the first Unreal game.

I'll be sure to check it out as well, then. Thanks once again.

Looking for an experience similar to the first Unreal game.

Fair enough, with Planescape: Torment I can kind of agree. With Deus Ex, though? Not really.

Looking for an experience similar to the first Unreal game.

Great recommendations there! Out of these, Outcast and Crosscode seem to be the closest to what I want. Freelancer might also be neat, despite being slightly different from the rest of the games. Thanks a lot. From what I could read about it, it seems to fit quite well. I'll add it to the...

Looking for an experience similar to the first Unreal game.

As fantastic as the original Unreal is, I'm kind of tired of reinstalling it every time I'm in a mood for the specific type of experience it offers. However, I've been looking, and looking, and looking, and looking and it seems it's the most unique game in the universe. So many threads over the...

I'm looking for games with intelligently-written, truly mature story once again

If you?re not only looking for shorter story-driven games I?d recommended at least the first couple Witcher games, which should run well enough, and maybe you?d have a better PC by the time you?re done with them for 3. The series deals with racial issues as well as various morality threads...

I'm looking for games with intelligently-written, truly mature story once again

Before you say anything - yes, I've made a thread like this a couple of years ago. You can probably still find it if you look hard enough. The thing is, I got off the wrong foot back then and want to try again, this time knowing exactly what I'm after and why I like the writing in the games I'm...

I want to be gently introduced to character action games. What's the best one to start with? PC only

Well, I'm mostly used to the way Souls games, Souls-likes, and Monster Hunter handle combat, so I reckon the transition is going to be even tougher for me. That's going to be a tad problematic because loading on my PC takes about 5 seconds tops. Is there no other way to practice your moves?

I want to be gently introduced to character action games. What's the best one to start with? PC only

Alright, so I played a bit of Bayonetta already and I'm slightly confused. Is the combat supposed to be this loose and floaty in those types of games? 90% of the time, I can't even tell whether or not my hits are connecting, since there's no discernible difference in how a hit and a whiff feels.
