A 'Sequel' to Spec Ops: The Line

Though I loved Spec Ops: The Line to death, I wouldn't ever want them to make a sequel, mostly for reasons already stated above (it would ruin the impact, Spec Ops was awesome as a standalone story, etc.). I am, however, very curious what the writer of Spec Ops (Walt Williams) and the devs...

    What an underrated game!

Primal for PS2. Awesome game, great writing and fun gameplay. The game had its faults (the rushed ending comes to mind), but I loved the crap out of it when it came out. I've never heard others mention it, though.

HD Re-release: What game do you want re-released the most?

Final Fantasy X. It could come out any day now.... Aaaaany day now...... *sigh*

What PS2 games should I get?

My personal favs: FFX - I loved the story (though many will disagree with me on this), characters and battle system. Okami - If you have PSN, it's worth it to buy the HD version, but if you ask me, this game has aged really well. One of the best adventure games ever. Shadow Hearts...

    Spec Ops: The Line Ending

I played through the game three times to get all the endings. On my first playthrough I made the following choices: -Didn't shoot the CIA agent who was holding the soldier(didn't even know I could, but apparently if you do so, you save yourself a fight in the next room). - Rescued the...

Your personal biggest underrated game of all time

Spec Ops: The Line. Easily the most engaging game I've ever played and one that honestly kept me up at night thinking about it.

Recommend the two best JRPG's in history.

Tales of Symphonia. Great combat system, amazing story. As for the other one, I'm going to have to say FFX. Loved that one. Great story, good voice acting.

    Unpopular gaming opinions

I don't like the GTA games, never have. Played San Andreas back on the PS2. It was okay until there was a mission where you had to drive a car and simultaneously shoot a cook or something. I got so frustrated with the controls that I left the series and never looked back, nor do I have a desire...

    Geeky names for pets.

I have a cat called Daxter :) Named after the furry ottsel from the Jak and Daxter trilogy. We picked him from the pound when he was just 3 months old and still needed a new name. I was determined to give him a video game related name and in the end we settled on Orange Lightning...

What is the worst game you own?

Catwoman for the gamecube. It was a gift from my (non gamer) boyfriend. Beaming, he handed me a perfectly wrapped game and said: "Here honey! I know you loved Batman: Arkham City and Arkham Asylum so I got you another Batman game!!!!' The gesture was very sweet of course, but I had a hard...

Careers and Duty to the World

Do whatever makes you happy. Don't pursue a career in something that will not make you happy. Even if you think it'll benefit others. Our value to the world and to others lies not in big gestures or the profession we perform. It can be as easy as a smile for someone who'se feeling down, a...

The reason that the lights in the red light district are actually red is because blemishes and imperfections are harder to spot under a red light, i.e. you look prettier under a red light. True story.

Poll: Do you have any Escapist 'Friends'

Unfortunately I have to vote the latter. Then again, because of a busy work schedule I'm not on the forum as much, so I guess that doesn't help ;)

    Poll: Where are you from?

Well, yeah of course.... That goes without saying. A windmill and a cow.
