The articles I'm enjoying the most at the moment are Robert Rath's Critical Intel. He is constructive about just about everything and always insightful. Shamus Young can also be interesting but will always be catering to a niche technically-oriented audience.
Now I'm imagining a Star Trek crossover where the aliens are prissy french robot-cyborgs, wearing berets and proudly proclaiming "We are the bourge! Resistance is futile, you silly Federation kniggets."
In my opinion even Michael Bay vehicles like Transformers and TMNT share enough traits to be benefiting from and empowering the same tsunami. If Transformers 4 can rake in a billion, there is no way even a sure winner like Batman completely failing will stop the genre.
Goodness people - if all you are taking from this is "He mentioned Dark Knight Rises/Man of Steel with Green Lantern/Catwoman", then not only have you missed his point; you have proved it as well.

It's funny how attached we can become to certain actors in roles. Can you imagine another Gandalf than Sir...
Star Control 2? Heroes of Might and Magic 2? Both have modern remakes you can play, even on Windows 8 (Free Heroes 2 runs on Android too!)

But surely devs will release games that support the greatest number of users? To increase their chance of sales? So they won't take up DX12 (without some stellar features) since it cuts into their bottom line?
Not when you're South African. It feels like a gag that could wear thin quickly.
Unfortunately yes. Strangely enough, they would only work if playing their caricature's completely straight, whereas their music is all about being a parody.
Being a South African, I have to defer opinion on...
