    Zero Punctuation: Vanquish

I'm surprised that between all the politics (he even squeezed in a GOP crack) he didn't mention that Hillary is president in Vanquish and she's literally up against Mecha-Putin. How relevant that could have been. They did fix the 60 fps double-damage thing though.

    The Plight of the Masters

I always get as close to 60 as I can. It's shadows and anti-aliasing I could give two s**** about. BRB heading to truck stop

Zero Punctuation: Dying Light - Yay, More Zombies

You forgot the "Resurrection." ^_^ You have to remember that, generally, he reviews these from the standpoint of single-player. This is why he found Borderlands boring - the co-op is what makes that game worth full price, in singleplayer it is pretty threadbare. And the same goes for Dead...

    Good Game, Well Played

Ignoring is just neutral. It doesn't actually discourage or punish them for being trolls and assholes, which is the response needed. Extra Credits had a great episode [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt9GwmOWoqo] on the kinds of things devs and platform-curators like XBL can do to curtail...

    Erin Vs The Herb

Whoa, who's the cute bear on her balcony? Please become a regular! Or it's been laced with something else, though why they would use a more expensive additive and charge marijuana prices would be beyond me.

Zero Punctuation: Five Nights at Freddys and This War of Mine

He didn't like FNAF? Well, a rebuttal from Freddy: SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I get his point though - FNAF isn't really that good a game to play on your own. If you're playing to an audience - surrounded by IRL friends, or streaming to followers - then the core engagement is...

EB Games Australia is Pulling The Elder Scrolls Online From Store Shelves

The Big Picture: Real Cutie - Manga Turned Live Action

Cutie Honey! Woohoo! Yeah, if you're translating anime to live action, then cranking the camp up to 11 like they did here is the way to do it. I don't think it worked as well with, say, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, which was trying too hard to be serious and so made the cheap effects stick...

The Big Picture: Dumbsday, Part 2 - The Reign of the Supermen

From what I understand - he was alive but needed a template, kinda like how stem cells are alive but don't actually do anything on their own without something to copy. So it's really a matter of Bob using shorthand and being a bit confusing as a result.

Dragon Age: Inquisition's Co-op Multiplayer Sounds Familiar - Update

There are secret rooms each class can get into. So maybe there is a locked door or chest, you need the rogue. Maybe there is a rickety wall, the warrior has to kick it down. Or maybe there is a magic ward, the mage can dispel it. If you don't have a balanced party there are some rooms you won't...

Miyamoto Refocusing on Hardcore; Casual Gamers' Passive Attitude "Pathetic"

+1 Yes, but there's a big difference between "being entertained" in a Wii Bowling sense, and "being entertained" in a Legend of Zelda or Metroid sense. The latter takes a much greater deal of agency from the player; you have to go out and "find your fun" so to speak.

    5th Edition D&D Player's Handbook Review - A Greatest Hits Collection

"However, advantage speeds up the game so much that the lost granularity is a sacrifice players will be willing to make." Not me. Advantage is just too simple and bland. I like it in addition to a stack of modifiers, but not replacing them entirely.

Zero Punctuation: Firefall - Proof That Jetpacks Make Everything Better?

Yay, an MMO review! Now do WildStar! I've been following Firefall since beta and I find it a lot of fun, and now that it's been released I'm seeing a lot more polish. As Yahtzee rightfully pointed out, the combat is actually fun because it's a shooter instead of an autoattack number...
