The Big Picture: Age of Heroes

I can see what he was meaning with the comparison of more modern versions of Batman and Robin, but think he was wide of the mark by only using his own opinions and it seemed another trolly attempt to have a go at fans of those movies. B&R was both a critical and commercial flop; if it had made...

The Big Picture: The Terrible Twenty Films of 2014 Part 2

In defence of ASM2 being number 1 on the list he did admit there are probably worse films lower down, but justified his personal reasons for hating it and putting it number 1. I've had a go at him myself for perceived fanboyism to Marvel Studios (I genuinely thought he was gonna put Days of...

The Top 10 Best Portrayals of Gamers on Television

Ah fair enough! When I saw the episode recently I only had it on in the background, so must've missed that. So completely agree he should've been on the list!

The Top 10 Best Portrayals of Gamers on Television

Been a long time since I saw Spaced regularly, but I recently watched an episode where after playing RE2 he goes a bit mad and thinks everyone's a zombie. So maybe it wasn't always gamer-positive!:P Also, did Clarissa ever actually play games other than the ones she made? It's a fair...

Sony Denies Aunt May Movie Rumor - Update

Wait, Peter is May's sister's son? I thought Ben and Richard were brothers, hence the same last name. Are May and Peter's mum sisters too!? Or am I just missing something here?

The Top 10 Worst Portrayals of Gamers on Television

Don't really see the need for the unprofessional swipe at The Big Bang Theory. No problem with it being on this list, it's perfectly valid to be here, but some kind of insight would've been nice. For example: Gaming doesn't define them, it's just one of their many pasttimes. Seems fair...

This Week's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Mockingbird Vs. 'Whiplash'

Is the dislocating thumb thing that common on movies and films? Sure I've seen it before, but not so often that it's become cliched or anything. Although I guess MovieBob will have seen a lot more films and TV shows than me! Personally I thought it was really cool!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Continues to Set Up the Story for Season 2

Might've already been mentioned, but the Reality stone has been in the movies. The Aether from Thor 2 was revealed as the Reality stone somewhere (Kevin Fiege's twitter I think). So we've seen Power (GotG), Reality(T:TDW) and Space(Cap America & Avengers) and possibly Mind (maybe Loki's staff)...

The Big Picture: Turtle Power - The Older, Better TMNT Movie

Awesome nostalgia-trip! Think I might watch this tonight, been a long time! Personally my favorite version is actually the current CGI nickelodeon cartoon. I'm old enough to remember the 80s cartoon, and it was definitely great at times, but I've yet to see a bad episode of the latest one.

Escape to the Movies: Transformers: Age of Extinction - Better Than The First Three

Kinda funny how he says in this review he has no problem with people just going to see big robots and explosions on-screen here, whereas in previous Transformers films he's stated that he thinks people who do that are complete morons. And that's not me going over the top, if I remember rightly...

Nathan Fillion Will Appear in Guardians of the Galaxy - Update

Guess it's kinda my own fault for using this site, but it would've been awesome to avoid that spoiler and have the surprise of when he turned up in the film. I mean it's not like I searched out the info, it was in the headline on the front page of the site. Yes this is just me p*ssing and...

Escape to the Movies: X-Men: Days of Future Past

Yeah I was expecting at least a line to explain what happened to Prof X and Wolverine's claws. A line saying Magneto managed to reattach them would've been nice. I guess they assumed more folk will see that than saw The Wolverine, so decided to ignore it. Either way, despite that issue and the...

Escape to the Movies: X-Men: Days of Future Past

I think it's a little ironic how much he hates the new Spider-Man film, partially for being an unneeded reboot, then has a go at X-Men for not having been rebooted yet. As someone who loves the Avengers films I still think X2 holds up brilliantly and DoFP isn't far off that in quality! Loved it.

Escape to the Movies: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - The Movie That Broke MovieBob

I loved the PSX Spider-Man games! Great memories!

Escape to the Movies: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - The Movie That Broke MovieBob

Good point well made. The world building does get in the way here, but think I just felt MovieBob was overly harsh.
