I think Battlestar Galactica is close to what you mention.
Also Westworld is epic sci-fi similar in style to GoT with lots of sex and violence.
I couldn't get into The Expanse and I hope Star Trek Discovery is something like what we want from TV sci-fi.
I think procedural generation can work very well when it's balanced with hand-made and scripted stuff. Developers interestingly enough still fail to figure that out.
Hopefully the game is still an interesting and fun enough experience, and future patches and additions make it even better.
Doom and Arkham are getting VR versions of their game, but they seem mostly like heavily modified versions of the games we love, so I have to ask if VR won't be able to have action-based as we are used and we'll only be getting very slow Myst-like games, which would be OK, but I also expect VR...
There's room for different kinds of storytelling in games, but when gaming is at it worst is when it tries to emulate cinematic storytelling reducing playability and with that I mean cutscenes that take control away from the player and QTEs.
I really like that there are so many ways to tell...
I think we are getting a revival of 90's stuff.
Doom got a very successful new game that follows the style of the originals. Thimbleweed Park is basically a 90's adventure game.
We've also been getting classic videogame genres back with the likes of Xcom. I guess that trend will...
Wow! Time Pilot is probably the first game I've ever played! It was in an arcade near home when I was a kid.
It's really hard picking up only 3, especially considering that tastes change over time, but I'll try. A few years ago I would mention Half-Life 2, Bioshock and Mass Effect, but this...
Monkey Island - I'd love to see Ron Gilbert continue the story.
Lemmings - How is it possible there's not a new version of this amazing game?
Half-Life - Cliffhanger for ever...

I also forgot to mention Penny Dreadful. I watched the first episode, but it was so dark, gory and gloomy that I couldn't continue. Shame, because I love Eva Green!
I agree with everyone that mentioned Game of Thrones. Almost all of the characters are jerks and there's no hope. Despite all that I still enjoy the show.
Also, most things by Tarantino. While I find his style interesting I dislike the fact that he always need to include something which...
Tree of Life is a film I despise for countless reasons that don't need to be mentioned, but I enjoyed the screensaver space scenes.
The scene of Morpheus fighting on the truck in Matrix Reloaded and Trinity riding the motorbike in Matrix Reloaded were simply amazing and the rest of the movie...
Because the world is not an idyllic place. Nobody is perfect and we feel frustrated by the idea that some people may disagree with us.
Just relax, guys!
