That's impossible for them ...
After all this time I cannot believe anything else but the fact they also created a reality distortion field. Or bought the one ol' Steve used.
I also firmly believe if they once realize they are living in a fantasy world of spin, most of EA PR and management...
Well, what else do you expect from Rupert Murdoch's Corporation? Truth and honesty?
Have a look at Fox News, they own that. Than check out British tabloids and their liberal approach to wiretap. Then read the above article again once you have full perspective. :)
And yes, I am saying...
Are you seriously unaware that developers, especially those that licence DirectX from Microsoft, such as ... you know ... Valve or Blizzard, didn't get Windows 8 to test before us in general public?
Oh right, my bad, your cred > any mayor developer cred when it comes to statements about Win8...
No worry, just from your statements alone it is obvious your cred is way bigger than any of there's.
I was just checking, but you cleared it all up for me.
There goes any chance of sentient discussion ... Since you see, they all have way more industry cred than you. And bottom have more cred than Notch himself.
From the original article, quoting:
... Markus "Notch" Persson ...
... Gabe Newell ... (Valve)
... Ed Fries ... (ex. Microsoft Game Studios)
... Rob Pardo ... (Blizzard)
So a minimum of four (4) attention whores right there. You are saying all of them are "attention seeking wannabees"?
So ...
The article lists 3 rather well known and respected software developers claiming they are worried by direction Windows 8 is taking.
And people here respond with: "Notch, calm the f*** down!"
Poor Rob Pardo and his multi million dollar company being ignored like this, eh? Stupid...
I just have to highlight this.
This is the most important aspect of this debate and even Stallman pointed this out exactly.
If you want Linux to "beat" Windows, it needs more mainstream. Games are a good way to go mainstream quickly and Steam is not a bad way to go about it.
However, some...
All the time actually ... As Linux is used to run very expensive commercial server software often.
His concern is the mixing of open platform (which Linux installed at home is) with licensed software, as Linux on servers has already gone past that hurdle of "open" in many cases. I agree with...
Well, there is a slight detail to it ... When I was back in Uni doing some robotics, most people were convinced 4 legs was minimum. It allows for so called static walking, where basically you keep your centre of mass within your feet always keeping your machine stable and upright. Bugs in nature...
Uhm, no.
Military mechs don't get shown in YouTube videos. This is a very expensive toy.
The actual military mechs I guarantee you will be using Asimo type legs, licensed from Honda. :) Military has the bucks unlike civilians.

But most of all ...
Well, don't worry, others did so already. :)
Biggest issue with OS X that people often don't realize is that in their case, Open Source is a problem. They are generally running a FreeBSD UNIX kernel, but since Apple do not update the kernel as fast as they should, they often leave known and...
Huh, he is 100% right. O.o At least in my case.
I already run Windows 7 and on it all open source stuff. Only thing that prevents me from switching OS is basically DX11.
If Valve can have tools for developers to convert from DX to and open graphics library of similar quality, then...
I agree with Gabe on this one.
Windows 8 for some reason is the very first Windows where users do not get a fallback UI. Hell, even in Win7 you could fallback to Win2000 UI, at least for most part.
Valve is probably well aware people will not likely upgrade to Win8 if they already run...
