The Sonic series has actually improved recently with Colors and Generations. It only took them years, but they finally figured out how to make a playable and enjoyable Sonic game in 3D. I do agree that Adventures 1 and 2 aged like milk left in the hot sun, though.
Most of my games are single player because I do enjoy playing alone quite a bit. I have some games with co-op and such for when I want to play with friends, but for the most part I'd much rather let myself become the character and get immersed in the game's world, and the existence of even just...
I preordered it because it's a game that I've been looking forward to since it was revealed. I'm a big fan of both Ron Gilbert and Double Fine, so I doubt that I'll be disappointed. The TF2 stuff is just a bonus as far as I'm concerned.
Very unlikely that Double Fine is after anything other than the console publishing rights for Costume Quest and Stacking, though there is a chance that they may have had an unannounced project with THQ in the works.
Double Fine almost definitely wouldn't be after any of THQ's properties...
The modder might have done it as just a sort of personal challenge, to see if it could be done at all.
Also, sometimes games that were designed for single player turn out to be a blast with modded-in multiplayer.
This, more or less, is the underlying reason for the rage. There's no reason for those people to be behaving like they are, but the feeling of betrayal is understandable.
I can only hope that they treat it with the respect it deserves, and recognize what made STALKER great in the first place (as in, persistent world that lives on without player input, delightfully punishing difficulty, atmosphere so thick you could cut it with a knife). The thought of a...
I think well-made adventure games are still good. I was late to the party, only being introduced to the genre about 5 or 6 years ago, but I love them, particularly the LucasArts classics. I think they're still some of the best examples of storytelling in games, and I like the relaxed cerebral...
I actually thought the first one was fun and a fairly solid kart racer, though I was disappointed that online play was left out of the PC version.
Also, the official announcement mentions "PC Digital Download", so it looks like this installment will land on the PC platform as well, but I...
I wish I could toss more than $30 their way. The $100 rewards look great, but I just can't afford it right now.
I'm glad I was able to support the Kickstarter in some way though. Tim Schafer is one of the most passionate devs in the industry and I've yet to walk away from any of his games...
I was pleasantly surprised by the announcement of a PC version. Sega seems to have been improving their relationship with the PC platform as of late. As happy as it makes me to see JSR being re-released, I hope this is Sega's way of testing the water for a JSRF re-release as well.
I won't mind a short length if the writing is good and the puzzles are fun. I'm certainly not expecting a massive epic adventure considering they've scheduled it to release in October and it's priced at only $15.
Even with the help from Kickstarter funding, they'd probably still have a hard...
