Dear Mr. Garcia (Fu---g) Hotspur (Shadows of the damned);
While I'm honored by your proposition to introduce me to Johnson (no pun intended), I rather have supper with you and your dear Paula (I just hope she doesn't dies again before desert)
Regards
In a real life situation, you rarely want to kill, you want to disable the adversary. A wonded adversary would be off the field for months. If it's a long running war, I'll make sure to finish off the others when possible, but if the meds make it to him, he's safe... at least in my book.
Nemesis, from Resident Evil 3. Is not that he is scary to look, but he is indefeatable, he can pop on ANY screen when you are in the streets, and when he appears usually means "drop everything and run for your life without looking back".
Got lucky on my first try, turns out that with Veronica and ED-E (Veronica was weaponless and ED-E got his laser) and my trusty straight Blade, you can take him and his bodyguards with no one noticing the fight from the other end of the hall. Weird but satisfying
Actually the star wars d20 pen and paper rpg had a neat idea. Your actuall health was just 10 to 20 points (your stamina). Your hitpoints were, like stated in this thread, more like your "luck running out". Critical strikes would bypass hitpoints and go directly to your stamina, so a lucky shot...
Still, sorry for the kids, I'll take the shot.
Hell!, I don't expect my name or country to be published in the next newspaper as "He who shot that dictator from other country"
