Glad to see the Avatar comic at #2 on the graphic novels chart.

Legend of Korra Review: The Explosive Showdown

Good episode. Book 3 has been going really smoothly as far as story is concerned, I'm excited to see what happens next. Suyin simply being in league with Aiwei and Zaheer doesn't make sense. It was Suyin who came up with the idea that saved Korra, at great personal risk to herself. And...

Fantastic Four Reboot Movie Won't Be Based on Any Comics

"Grounded, gritty, and realistic". Because everything needs to be Batman to be successful, right? Oh joy.

I'd Like my Legend of Korra, minus the Korra please

I disagree with the implication that Aang didn't change much over the course of ATLA. Aang had plenty of development and change. He starts the series with a lot of emotional baggage about how his people got wiped out after he ran away from his responsibility. He comes to accept that it wasn't...

I'd Like my Legend of Korra, minus the Korra please

Korra was aggravating to me towards the beginning of Book 2. But I loved her in Book 1 and in the back half of Book 2. I think she has grown, and Book 3 is off to a great start with moving her character forward.

A Netflix Original Series... And it's an anime?

I've read that bears are supposed to be a running gag in the works from the original manga author. It's not major; I just think it's funny that it's never addressed. She's a fairly important character, so any time she's involved in something intense or dramatic I just find myself thinking...

A Netflix Original Series... And it's an anime?

Heh, missed this thread and went straight for the thread that was made months ago. Oh well, I'll just repost what I posted there. I noticed this on the Netflix front page last night. Six hours later, I had watched the whole first season. Damn that was good. I never thought I would watch...

Knights of Sidonia - Attack on Titan IN SPAAAACE!

I noticed this on the Netflix front page last night. Six hours later, I had watched the whole first season. Damn that was good. I never thought I would watch something branded as a "Netflix Original Series", but then they went and exclusively licensed a mature sci-fi anime. Oh, Netflix. It...

Legend of Korra Game Coming This Fall From Bayonetta 2 Studio - Update

I'm pretty excited by this news. I'm a big fan of Legend of Korra, and the game's got Tim Hedrick, one of the better writers from Avatar The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra (for those familiar with the episodes, he wrote "City of Walls and Secrets" and "The Puppetmaster" in ATLA, and...

Xbox Director of Development: Xbox One Effectively a Super-Computer Design

"Supercomputer", eh? That's why you basically put a beefed-up smartphone CPU and a budget level PC GPU in there...

Study Claims Papyrus That Says Jesus Had a Wife is Real

You know, there really shouldn't be too much controversy over the idea that Jesus had a wife. Jesus made no declarations of celibacy as recorded in the canonical Gospels. What would really be interesting and provoke discussion is if it came to light that he had children, as that raises the...

Kinect Voice Commands Planned for Dragon Age: Inquisition on 360, Xbox One

Er, tactical pause-and-command never went away. Dragon Age 2 kind of messed with it though by locking the camera on whatever character you have selected, rather than how DAO (on PC) allowed you to zoom out to an isometric view and freely move the camera around. That was a step backwards. With...

Kinect Voice Commands Planned for Dragon Age: Inquisition on 360, Xbox One

Meh. No one came away from Mass Effect 3 talking about how fantastic the Kinect voice commands were.

Watch Dogs PC Requirements Recommend 8 Core CPU

Yeah that has me scratching my head. The 3770 is a quad core processing. It's eight thread thanks to hyperthreading, but it's still just quad core.
