The whole Tactics subgenre seems to have dried up on PC. The closest is King's Bounty: The Legend. Wakfu has its similarities as well. But it is MMO. ARMA Tactics comes out October 1st and is an $8 game.

I liked the pacing in Tomb Raider (2013), kept moving forward but gave you the ability to go back and explore if you so wanted. The forward pacing was break neck and pretty fantastic. Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit had solid pacing. The best, imo, is still The Beast Within. That one was paced...
