Tribes: Ascend is my current favorite game. Fast-paced, unique gameplay, and it's free to play! The skiing might take a short while to get used to, but it's usually a fast process. There's really no reason not to try it, if you haven't already.

Another case of a parent not bothering to be informed and then blaming others for his own failure. This is the same thing that's causing the moral panic about video game violence. We've got a bunch of people complaining about stuff they don't know anything about, not bothering to educate...
While I think this idea sounds very promising, I also agree with the many others here who don't think it would do well in MMO form. For this kind of concept to work, it seems to me like it needs to end at some point.
