I guess so but unless it is using a 3D camera or a video how can it tell the difference between an actual head and a picture when it is being processed as a 2D image? It just doesn't seem like it could be very secure.
It isn't foolproof, I remember when my Dad first got a phone with facial recognition and we unlocked it with a picture of him at the pub. I'll stick to my password thank you

I've played the beta and it is pretty good, servers are always full and the pvp is top notch. Not being prepared is the point of a beta because if this happened at launch it would be a much bigger deal.
The problem is there is no board of directors at Double Fine, Tim is in 100% control of the companies decisions. I think having some extra advice and maybe someone taking more of the weight of the money management side Tim could focus more on making games.

I doubt Valve actual did anything aside from allowing the Rocket League developers to adapt existing assets into their game, it's likely no Valve developers will have worked on this content.
I agree they don't seem to be making games though.
Late to this chat and don't have a lot to add but when it says digital copies wouldn't keys provided to Amazon and green man gaming count as shipped copies as they would also likely be paid in advance.
