Misogyny aside, there really are problems with this Kickstarter.
1) NO ONE IS CENSORING ANYONE
She already has a channel where she does this kind of thing already. All this Kickstarter is for is to pay her for what she's already doing for free
2) Her "analysis" basically consists of...
Immoral to feed and provide care for animals? No
OP's example doesn't hold much water. Dogs and cats aren't intelligent in the same way people are intelligent. They are capable of thought and reason to an extent but aren't self aware; they don't worry about much more than their surroundings...
There wasn't a hell of a lot to get excited about this year. The Big 3 were hyping hardware and it's hard to care about systems that don't have games yet
Yeah, $30 sound like a good price for ME3. The gameplay is nice and snappy with enough variation between classes to warrant multiple playthroughs but the story is so appallingly bad that you'll find yourself skipping through the cutscenes to get back to the gameplay
It's not about whether or not Bioware can release a new IP; it's about whether or not people will buy it.
They've burned through a lot of gamer goodwill with this whole Mass Effect 3 thing. Whether or not you agree with detractors, Bioware and EA have received a lot of bad press over the...
Criticizing products that we consume is not whining. Criticizing game companies is the only way for them to grow; companies who shield themselves and their writers from criticism eventually stagnate and start producing substandard work.
Movies aren't exempt from criticism. Art isn't exempt...
"Completely changes your experience"
Kill the Rachni? Lol, reapers made more.
Saved the Rachni? Lol, indoctrination
"Radically Different Endings"
That is technically false and shame on Bioware's PR team for dealing in absolutes. Only fools deal in absolutes.
It's possible to an extent but they'll never deliver infinite conclusions based on every different choice. At best, they'll take the two or three biggest choices and make variations based on those.
Persona 4 had a good example of this. Based on your actions there were three possible endings...
The kerfuffle surrounding the ending to the Mass Effect franchise has seen the word "artistic integrity" batted around the blogosphere and I'm not entirely convinced that anyone has any idea of what it means to call games "art."
On what standards to we designate games as examples of good...
The problems I have with Bioware go deeper than Mass Effect. In my opinion, the quality of their work has been in serious decline over the years, moving away from the "artsy" storytelling company they were in their youth towards more generic titles they've produced recently. I no longer believe...
At what point does a game stop being a game then?
I have no problem with people playing the game the way it they want to but if someone wants to just watch cutscenes, why don't they just look them up on Youtube? Games are more than just choose your own adventure movies and if companies start...
