But FF X at least has replay value. You can play it again with a completely different strategy, do different side-quests and play different minigames etc. It was your choice to play it the same way again, so don't blame the game for that. FF XIII, on the other hand, gives no reason whatsoever...

Immersion and atmosphere are nice and all, but what about the real life? Is it really okay that a game punishes you for having a life? That you lose progress because you suddenly have something else to do than to play the game? This attitude reminds me of the news article about an MMORPGer...
