Escapist, what is your level of athleticism?

I'd say slightly above average right now. I used to play football and row crew, in the beginning of college I was in ROTC. I'm 6'1, 170, which is a good bit more than I usually weigh. Planning on starting to work out again, but I still have a decent bench and can do 15ish pull-ups no problem.

What was the worst Level You played in a game

The carrier mission in Far Cry. Right when you climb the ladder onto the deck, a chopper comes out and immediately opens fire. On top of that, a turrent is right behind you. You need to get behind a crate, kill the gunner in the chopper, go back down the ladder to grab armor and health because...

Poll: Getting a Nintendo 3DS soon. Standard or XL?

Had an original, traded it in for an XL. Everyone seems to agree its worth the extra cash.

Poll: You just learned to use The Force in the real world: Dark Side/Light Side/Grey? Future Movies?

If I just discovered the force, and the rest of the world didn't have it, it wouldn't matter what side I was on. Obi-wan used his mind control to sell Luke's speeder for far more than it was worth in the first movie. If a totally light-side Jedi can swindle people like that, who needs anything more?

Why the Oculus Rift is a Big Deal

Good article, with a few misconceptions. While VR does require 60 frames per second, adequate programmers wouldn't need to use twice the resources again to create separate images for each eye. Also, I seriously doubt LCD screens will ever be used in consumer VR, Oculus has already made the...

Super Mario 3D World Excluded Online Co-Op to Imitate NES Games

This attitude is exactly why the Wii U is failing in the West. Its too bad, I tried this game out at my friends house and it's a ton of fun, but I'd never buy a Nintendo console because this is the third generation since online really became a thing and they have yet to figure it out. If I...

    Should Nintendo go handhelds-only?

As someone who has only bought handhelds from Nintendo (aside from my used SNES), absolutely! I love my 3ds, and undoubtedly the next generation of handheld consoles will be more powerful than the Wii U, so why wouldn't this be a good move? Nintendo has stated that the difficulties of developing...

    My daughter is named Tali'Zorah. I suppose I'm crazy : )

Frankly, you're a little crazy, and totally irresponsible. Your name is the first thing every person you meet knows about you, and is a crucial part of forming a first impression, like it or not. When you name your daughter Tali'Zorah, or Princess Peach, or Apple or Precious or anything else...

Team Fortress 2 Chess Set Is America's Top Chess-Themed Hat Simulator

"The set costs $99.99 and contains everything you need to play chess. " Yeah. Based on this alone nobody will buy this. Chess is already the ultimate board game, TF2 is great but who in their right mind would buy this? Might as well build a 3d printer and make the pieces yourself. Also, it...

Now that the GTA V hype is gone...

Of course its worth it. GTA V is a great game, well worth the 100 hours I've already put into it, easily worth the 60 cents an hour its cost me.

Microsoft make another U-Turn. Xbone to include headset

Just a misprint. To those who want a Kinect optional version (meaning an xbox 360 2), please just get a PS4. I don't want you people ruining my XB1.

    Titanfall-Place your bets.

It isn't really mind blowing. Consoles are WAYY cheaper, and most people can afford them more easily than a PC rig that can handle BF3 at a decent clip.

    Titanfall-Place your bets.

Yeah, unless you have the PC version, you will probably be playing regular price for a polished multiplayer experience. I'd prefer that to the crappy linear campaigns + mediocre deathmatch multiplayer most of today's AAA games offer. We pay full price + subscription fees for MMOs, so I hardly...

I fell for this too, but the article has been confirmed as BS.

CliffyB: Microsoft Tried to "Have it Both Ways"

Then you are unaware of how the videogame industry works. Games are, by definition, a loss leader. Millions of dollars are spent on development, but publishers only recoup their losses and hopefully make a profit when new copies are sold. The massive used games market is REALLY bad for anyone...
