Let's say I was a gullible 13 year old who found this online. I'd Google the hell out of this and check everything before I even thought about trying it.
Or I'd remember back to when I left the fork in the bowl of soup.
I hadn't heard of this before this small amount of backlash(?). I sincerely thank One Million Moms and the American Family Association for introducing this to me!
Don't scream about something if you don't want people to be curious about it.
I had downloaded a mod to hide the UI to try and get more immersed into the game. There was a quest to talk to some dude at the skyforge, which unknown to me, was around the corner and up a few flights of steps. The quest text did not mention any directions and none of the NPCs would even talk...
I'm happy to hear it. I finally triggered a checkpoint so I don't have to restart completely after every death.
Are you serious? Does this mean I have to restart to get any chance of using stealth? That'd really put a damper on my motivation to keep going on...
On a whim I picked up Metro: Last Light during the steam sale and had a great time with it. Even though Ranger Hardcore mode's lack of a HUD meant being unable to count your ammo, bullets, medkits or filters. At the same time failing to inform you of keys to press during QTEs or even the fact...
This is far from hacking if I'm hearing this right. Its a hole in their security that didn't require any exploitation or "fudging" with the code. The system allowed him to put in commands so he just put a command in.
I personally like practical armor on my female characters...most of the time. Among all the calls of "BUT MAH REALISM AND PRACTICALITY" at the end of the day (In my case) it's a game. I don't mind the occasional boob plate in a game, but what we really need is choice for both male and female...
I had the same feeling. Three, count 'em, THREE different times he specifically mentions what he is doing won't be a great experience.
Well then WHY THE FUCK are you doing it?! If you are in the process of making something and one of the aspects will make your product inconvenient to the user...
If I remember correctly, didn't F.E.A.R have really stupid AI? Like so stupid that their programming was literally "RUN AT PLAYER. SHOOT." A developer came back and said the only reason the enemies flanked the player and seemed so smart was the level designed was aimed towards forcing the AI...
Totally understandable. One thing I think about is if a player doesn't want to level another character to 90 because it's so tedious is that a flaw with the game itself? Does Blizzard have to look at their design choices and change them or is it just impossible to get people interested in...
I guess I don't really get why anyone would do this. Why would you pay money to NOT play a game? I'm probably totally off on this, but if you're willing to pay money not to put time into a game then maybe you should find another game to play.
Hasn't happened to me since Rainbow Six: Vegas and that was only because I was too stupid to realize my video card didn't have shader model 3.0.
Also I have Google and a working mouse and keyboard...
Nothing against Origin, but I already have Steam. I'd rather not need to run an extra program in the background. Plus multiple accounts and multiple passwords annoy me. If there was a way to link my Steam account with Origin and have Origin launch when I want to play and auto close when I don't...
