I'd say the intro for Half-life simply because I feel that was my first real PC gaming experience. I played dos-games for years along with my consoles, I was finally old enough for my parents to let me play a game like halflife (with the blood and gore turned off...lol)

Potential customers don't care about the process involved in making something. They already have a perceived cost in their head. If that perceived cost is much more than what they think, chances are, they won't buy it.

It isn't even something to care about. It's copyright laws and they have every right to go after people who pirate the game. They provided a great game without DRM which is supposedly a reason why people pirate games/music to begin with.

Those minimums aren't that bad at all. Most PC's from the last few years have a dual core in it and 4gb of ram. Maybe the gpu you got to worry about, but shit, a HD 3800/8800gt? Those were from 2007-2008.
Unless you only have a laptop, a gpu <$100 from ATI should suffice
I really wish Dice would get out of their feelings and put the commander role back in. It made the game way more organized. You have the commander telling the squad leader's what to do, which they (most of the time) would pass on the info to their squad members. This helped out from have people...
I was playing CS on some form of Iceworld. The admin said no staying back in the spawn and told everyone to rush or else get kicked. It was suicide everything for both teams. No fun involved. Just whoever could press shoot faster.
