Poll: Are games getting too big in file size?

Terabyte hard drives are becoming fairly cheap. SSD drives are also getting fairly big, though still expensive as all hell. There's more room now.

Japanese video shows off video chat in new Pokemon. Great feature or no use to you?

Agree. While it may exist, it's simply a tool, which can be abused. Plus, unless you're on 4chan, pedophiles aren't that common.

The Indie Nerd: Player Content; Or, Why I Really Need To Lay Of The Comics; Article/Rant

I really, really love comics-based games, which is to say like Crackdown, not Marvel and DC licensed games, though the only one I can think of off the top of my head that really allows good customization would be City Of Heroes. City of Heroes was, and still is, though I don't play it anymore...

    New Horror-Game Mechanics

Disagree. Good games have been made where you have a warning sign, though I do agree with you on a point needs to be farther away from FEAR. Maybe have an auditory cue when nothing happens, and scattered throughout the game have one or two where it actually does indicate something.

At what point did graphics get "good enough" for a given genre?

You called her "Tomb Raider", implying that that's what her name is. And I said it once, jovially adding "YOU FAIL"... and you were like "lolwut" so I answered you. Not really making a mountain out of a molehill, if anything you are.

    Guns in games

Play Sleep Is Death, Today I Die... and a couple other games I can't recall right now.

At what point did graphics get "good enough" for a given genre?

Not the apostrophe. You said "Tomb Raiders." It's Lara Croft.

At what point did graphics get "good enough" for a given genre?

Tomb Raider is not a person. YOU FAIL. OT: I don't think graphics should be the focus, I think they should look pretty but be back to gameplay features, or express something about the enviornment, I.E. most indie games. So... I'm fine with any graphics. Seriously, I was playing Ultima 1 the...

    New Horror-Game Mechanics

A game where you are the good guy for a bit, and then you become the antagonist. Say, there's a big-ass demonic figure haunting the Earth, killing everyone he sees. As the game goes on, you start running out of food and such, so you hunt and hunt and hunt, before you start noticing the...

    Poll: Obsidian

I recognized the name, vaguely, despite probably not being very sapient during it's release.. Rifling through some old drawers, I found it's disk. ...Though it will most definetely not work, I get a vague sense that I once enjoyed it. Heh.

    Gamers and Entitlement Issues

Honestly I think it's because most people everywhere are self-entitled pricks. If it was bug fixes, I could see why people rage. As far as I can see, if you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it.

    Poll: Your Ideal Game

...I don't see how the actual MECHANICS of a game make an ideal game, unless you consider staring at code very fun. ...which, incidentially I do... ...but only in python...

    Poll: Your Ideal Game

Sure beats breaking up with me! Don't look now, I'm just a friendly reminder! ...Think I won the powerball... OT: I didn't answer the question, so, probably a game with artistic merit that is fun, like SoTC, but sandboxy and randomly generated inassuch you can do whatever you want. WHY YES...

    Poll: Your Ideal Game

Okay, maybe slightly less ideal than THAT. Ideal game... of modern technology.

    Genres you can't stand

I don't see the hate on casual games. I'd say PacMan, Tetris, and several other classics are, or could, count as "casual" games. And hey, even if they're not going to change anything, they're at least gimmicky enough to be fun.
