this is surprising avoided in Witcher 2, as you can always tell which weapon and which armor is better (you're probably think of the first Mass Effect, you know, a game that was out on consoles too). You do not spend much time in "menus" oh and Witcher 2 is coming out on consoles pretty soon :/
