Why couldn't Lara get a jacket or coat from her fallen enemies?

The question of the thread was "why doesn't she grab a coat from one of the dead dudes." And by "sexual expression" I don't mean "want to look good." That's a massive simplification. I'm not here to conduct spiritual sex ed, though. I just suggest you look into the concept of sexuality more...

Why couldn't Lara get a jacket or coat from her fallen enemies?

Funny that this has become what is "plain" to gamers. What I see is a lot of skin showing in a place that looks awful cold. If it was bright and sunny then sure, tank top makes sense. No sense made here. She would probably want a jacket. And it makes me very, very sad that your only concept...

Why couldn't Lara get a jacket or coat from her fallen enemies?

There's a big difference between sexy and sexualization. Giving impractical outfits to female characters for no other reason than so men can stare at the boobies falls into the category of the latter. Does she have the jacket on for most of the game, though? Or is it some dress up DLC?

Why couldn't Lara get a jacket or coat from her fallen enemies?

I think it's bizarre that there's so many responses to this question that act as though Lara possesses any kind of autonomy as a fictional character. It's all about the designers and their desperate need for you to appreciate the tiny details of what they've created so they can justify their...

    Gamer Subculture Study

    1. Yes 2. Currently 5-10 3. About half and half. 4. Most of them. If you need a number, I guess about 10-15? 5. Yes. Depending on what game I happen to be into, but I probably spend at least half my gaming time playing CoD online. 6. 2-3 7. FPS, action adventure, RPG (western...

Poll: How do You Bring Home The Bacon?

I write dumb content for dumb websites at a dumb digital marketing company. I get to write all about pet supplies and home exercise equipment and belt buckles. Then I write blog posts about how awful people can make their awful websites seem less terrible to idiots with too much money...

A word of advice... And a bit of a rant!

A crazy *****? For being annoyed that your partner paid more attention to video games than to you during a weekend visit? I once had a boyfriend who had a better relationship to his Android phone than he did with me. You deserve better, my friend. But tell your partner how you feel now, don't...

How do you maintain a positive outlook in a seemingly hopeless situation.

Take care of yourself. Pamper yourself. Do the things you like to do - take a bath, eat your favorite foods, spend a little money, and as always, play video games. The most important thing to remember is to give yourself a break every once in awhile. You're not perfect - no one is. Don't...

    That's not a plot hole!

I hate it when people try to point out plot holes in Batman movies. You know how he was able to do all that stuff that seemed impossible? HE'S FREAKIN' BATMAN.

Well of course. We all know about the long terrible history of the horrible treatment of men. Men being sold to women as husbands, being forced to stay at home and raise the kids while the woman works, and the constant efforts by women to outlaw male enhancement and erectile dysfunction drugs...

Meh, I couldn't care less about what that particular section of the community thinks of my arguments. If "hey maybe listen to what minority groups have to say about their own oppression" doesn't make you go "well ok" then there's no hope for you anyway. I do look good in Nazi brown, though.

That is a good point. The argument is flawed. It would be better to state that if many prominent or at least intelligent feminists think there's a problem with it, as well as women in general, there's probably an issue.

Gays and Minorities as villians in fictional media... Good? Bad?

If it's a pattern to make villains gay because their sexuality is viewed as bad or "other," then you have a problem. Personally all the gay individuals I know are the nicest people ever, so whenever there's a gay antagonist I'm like WHOA SUBVERTED EXPECTATIONS COOL. Like in Sherlock. Best...
