Move Over Dev Kit 2, Oculus Reveals New "Crescent Bay" Prototype

Well, Palmer Luckey is a supposed audiophile with a huge collection of speakers/headphones, so they hopefully won't be too shoddy.... but as I know crap all about audio I don't know if they can possibly be as good as the high end ones out there. However, one of the things they talked about at...

Move Over Dev Kit 2, Oculus Reveals New "Crescent Bay" Prototype

You can remove them (or move them out of the way I think). However, it's pretty clear from the keynotes from the conference that they are taking audio very seriously, and see it as crucial to the experience. These headphones might be good, or not, but the audio on the finished product should be...

Alien-Like Figure Spotted on Moon via Google Earth Map (Video)

The Government is clearly trying to cover up the fact that we found Bigfoots (Bigfeets?) on the moon.

Sunset Overdrive Preview - "Tony Hawk With Guns"

Damn, this could potentially be right up my alley. Absolutely love shooters where fast paced movement is emphasized. I love parkour/grinding game (most specifically jet-grind/set Radio), etc. Sounds like my cup o' tea... But I'm not likely to buy an Xbone. Any hope at all for it to come to PC?

Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 Sells 25,000 Units in One Month

Yeah, I think they were just lightly discouraging consumers from buying it so that devs could get their hands on a it a bit quicker.

Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 Sells 25,000 Units in One Month

I'm really tempted to buy one, but with the huge influx of money/resources, it's possible the consumer version won't be tooo far behind the new dev kit. Might just put the money towards some PC upgrades.

Why the Oculus Rift is a Big Deal

The problem is it's not easy to understand without trying it. I mean, I can tell you you actually feel like your in the cockpit of a starship, or actually feel like your walking around an environment. I can tell you you actually feel like NPCs are real, flesh and bone people standing in...

Why the Oculus Rift is a Big Deal

And you sound like someone who hasn't tried the rift, and isn't aware that their comparison to motion controls is laughable. I do agree on one point, though. The VR experience isn't for every game, and I don't think it will completely replace conventional types of gaming, by any means. Some...

Why the Oculus Rift is a Big Deal

Now to sit with my popcorn and watch all the people who haven't used it pontificate on why it won't catch on.

Americans Paying More For Worse Internet

Yeah... I can't even get cable out where I live. Which is maddening, since I'm like 2 minutes away from a neighborhood that has had it for years. Best I can get is jittery 1.5mb DSL. Which is a huge improvement over the dial-up we had a few years prior.

My thoughts exactly. Was one of the first games that came to mind when I found out about the oculus (That and Dark souls).

A Quick Time Event By Any Other Name

Vanquish actually did them pretty well. Usually something happened in combat, and suddenly Sam would go into "time to kick some ass" mode: a short cutscene at the end of which you would do the QTE. It felt like a bonus "super-move" the game would toss you in certain situations, and was never...
