GOTY: Fallout 4. Yes, it has it's problems but I haven't had this much fun in ages. Close runner up: Arkham Knight, disqualified due to insanely bad PC release and a lack of good bosses.
Witcher 3 is good but...something just didn't click for me.
Biggest disappointment: Probably...
To keep it short, I live in Japan - which is a country where it's insanely hard for foreigners to get even basic VISA/credit card functions on a bank account. Oh, and the Japanese Paypal requires a credit card...
I'm wondering if there is some simple alternative I am missing. It's really hard...
Okay, in terms of games that I:
A) Have replayed a bajillion times.
B) Still hold up well.
C) Were about the best thing I had ever seen when I first played them:
10) Baldur's Gate 2. Hasn't exactly aged that well but still probably the best Wrpg.
9) Painkiller. The disjointed levels and...
I despise 'realistic' modern shooters, but Spec Ops 2: The Line balanced it with a mindbending story, excellent writing and one of the best endings ever.
Welcome to Dubai!
It...never bothered me that much with the extended cut. Oh, it wasn't perfect and the lack of a final boss was a massive letdown, but I enjoyed ME3 from start to finish and the ending was, while not perfect, pretty much fine.
'A Perfect Score' is a very difficult thing to imagine for me. It basically means that, at the time I played it, it was not only the best game in it's genre that I had ever played but there was literally nothing I could possibly think of that would make it better.
From your list (that I've...
I'm an absolute 3D nut, but have basically abandoned it, despite amazing 3rd party support from things like Helixmod.
The main reason: No screens above 1080p support it.
This point of view always confuses me.
I actually liked ME3. A lot. More than the second one for the most part. Yes, the ending was a letdown, but at least it was definitive. The game itself was great, with some really stirring moments and great set pieces.
My headset. Dumped 10,000yen into a really sexy Corsair gaming headset that...sounds worse than my speakers (despite reviews!) and never see much use outside of skype calls.
I enjoy the smell. Always have. My dad smoked when I was very young, and my first longterm girlfriend was a smoker. The smell has a pleasant association for me.
However I know a lot of people dislike the smell and so it's common courtesy to not smoke where it could *reasonably* disturb...
This. I don't really care to be honest. I am a longtime smoker who recently quit (and moved onto vaping) although I occasionally smoke a pack when the mood strikes me (like once every 3 months).
I agree that it makes advertising more difficult but honestly...meh. The whole anti smoking thing...
Geez that's rough! I thought my job was bad.
Teaching English. Wonderful job in theory. Sometimes it is. However my boss is an OCD nutcase that can be difficult to deal with at times and far too many of my students are simply left here by parents because an English program tends to be cheaper...
Sigh, such a loss. My favorite author of all time. Started reading him in early high school with The Light Fantastic. I own every book he has written and most of the audiobooks.
So much gold there. Reaper Man, the Watch series, Granny Weatherwax and more. There is now a Pratchett shaped hole...
