Poll: Star Wars vs Star Trek

Depends. Could the Jedi stand against the Q? It boils down to whether the Q are involved or not. Omnipotence tends to sway the side of things If they weren't.........*switches on lightsaber*.....nuff said.

    My biggest gripes/annoyances about MMORPG's

I guess the simple answer is, don't play them. I don't recall Blizzard hiring thugs to beat people into paying for their game. Don't like the monthly fee? Don't play the game. (Or play Guild Wars) Don't like the grind? Don't play an RPG. Hate talking to idiots? Stay offline. Believe it or not...

133: The First Steps to the Holodeck

Why? Why does one need to come back? Wouldn't that be the "Utopia" that we have constantly been bettering ourselves towards? Why should we force people to continue suffering in this realm, when we've created heaven for the masses? I think it's an admirable goal. No more want, no more work, no...

Awww, man I forgot about that game (which is weird, 'cause I just made some huge posts about it on another thread). Shark Gun, Topsy Turvy bomb, Vindaloo Launcher. Lightsabers are always a win. Especially in Jedi Academy. That game kicked seven kinds of ass. I think a.....unique.....weapon...

Yeah, I totally agree. I've done some work with basic 3d modelling, and even that's a pain to fix/upkeep. That's why I said earlier I'm not expecting it to change. That'd be unreasonable.

True, true. I guess I was just thinking of a design solution. But yeah, when playing D&D, you can't switch your main and off-hand constantly, and that's your imagination! So maybe it should be at character creation.

Awww, sweet. I'm goin' for the high score! I always preferred The Crescent Blade.

    The Leftorium

Why I bring it up is that (now, I'm no game developer) in the games I've played it doesn't look like it'd be AWFUL hard to switch the sword shape to the other half closed fist, y'know? You wouldn't even have to put in character creation or anything permanant like that, just.....stick the sword...

Most Likely. But Mass Effect, Oblivion, Morrowind? WoW especially gets me because if you're going to make a game about equipment, then bloody well let me swing Zinroch with my left hand.

    The Leftorium

The character model changed, but it was so he could look either way around a corner. It was never much of an issue in shooters and action games anyway, as I'm always paying more attention to the baddies than the character. It's the RPG territory where my grains get irked. BTW, why the HELL can...
