I really don't know how this notion of PlayStation being an "adults only" system got started.
PlayStation 1 and 2 were flooded with cartoony platformers and action games.
Hell PS2 in particular was the original "system for all ages" until Wii came along.
How did the author of this piece manage to repeatedly butcher the name of the late Nintendo president into "Hiroshi Yamaguchi". The Wall Street Journal article this piece cites didn't make that mistake, so there's no excuse here. :/
Actually it is cheaper for the consumer.
Its not like Nintendo's going to dynamically adjust the price and internal memory of Wii U based on the price of flash memory.
1. The game still looks great for what its trying to be - a conservative, formulaic, revival of Super Mario World.
2. I'd prefer 1080p, but honestly it couldn't be less critical than in THIS game, its still high definition
3. This game is seemingly being prioritized to allow for a new...
Not only does PETA know that, but they deliberately draw attention to it in the game itself and point out that the founder of Team Plasma is an evil hypocrite.
Bombs don't have flashing lights to attract people to them.
Bombs aren't planted in places that are intended to be seen or noticed.
Bombs are not hung out of reach and contact from where people will actually be to get blasted by them.
Some people over-react to benign things and allow...
I like how some people consistently complain around here that Nintendo systems "have no new IPs" when when you list more than a dozen new IPs to come about since Pikmin, some of which STARTED on the 3DS, the same people who made the original accusation just try to say that "none of those count"...
To think just a few months ago I was mocked (not here mind you) for insisting that gamers in general could be described as "Hardcore" "Softcore" and "Casual" and there existed a gaming demographics something in between the extremes of hardcore hobbyists and the grandmas who only play Wii Sports...
The magical raccoon dog costume based on Japanese mythology Mario wears in 3D Land has as much to do with encouraging children to support the fur garment industry as Apple's computers, smartphones, and music players have to do with glorifying the Fall of Adam and Eve because their logo is a...
That's fine. My lifestlye and play habits are actually drawing me away from console gaming at the moment. The in-home portable aspect of Wii U is the only reason I'm following the coming home console cycle.
Really?
I'm not trying to convince you to get something you're not interested in.
But to me, saying that they're 5 DS games worth playing is like saying they're 5 PS2 games worth playing.
Ken Levine actually mentioned BioShock Infinite as an ideal candidate for Wii U in Nintendo's sizzle reel at last year's E3.
I wouldn't be surprised if this had something to do with a Wii U version of the game.
