Escape to the Movies: Sucker Punch

Singular criticism: The CGI in the movie, in spaces, has that shine on it that's just uncanny valley enough to be distracting. Now, for what I came here for: I disagree with Bob's interpretation of the movie. Needless to say, MASSIVE PLOT SPOILERS WILL PROBABLY FOLLOW THIS. FAIRLY WARNED BE...

The Big Picture: A Nerd By Any Other Name

The largest similarity between the Browncoats and the Oakland Raiders is that they keep losing whenever they really really can't afford to be.

    Escape to the Movies: Red

I was half expecting Felicia Day's new werewolf hunting take on Red Riding Hood, also called 'Red'. Checked though, and it's not out 'till next year. Oh well.

She's an editor here at The Escapist. She does a lot of video supplements for a lot of the cuter games. Other stuff too, but if it's a cute game you're more likely to hear her voice. She also does a lot of in front of the camera stuff for Escapist office tours and what have you.

Just think, you might have some of Brad Pitt's sweat in your house right now. :P

Or like (When I was younger, I used to walk with my head down when nervous) I once walked headfirst into Vin Diesel's car while on the set of The Chronicles of Riddick. I didn't meet Vin, just dinged his car with my face. Super.

I've learned instead to hone my story down to a simple one-sentence "I met Hugh Jackman once." It works about as well as you'd expect.

His natural 'Don't to kill children' reflex is the only reason why I'm alive today. That scene where he pulls the claws on the cat? Same deal, except I didn't lick them afterwards.

I was gripped with a burning desire to share that experience with The Escapist, since I'd forgotten for a full month. Also, it's fast approaching 1 AM and I haven't slept in a good 48 hours. I did however try to salvage something of a discussion from this thread.

I can even get us started with weird stories. I have a bad habit of having awkward moments with celebrities, you'll find. When I was a lot younger, I was in Vancouver with some family, and my grandpa, who works in the film industry, was working on the set of X Men 2 and took me and my...

I just felt like sharing. Discuss any moments you've had with celebrities? Or weird con experiences you've had?

She gave me a look. I instantly regretted my decision to do so.

    Review: Sonic Adventure XBLA

Good game or not, you owe it to yourself (not to mention your viewership) to manage a higher standard in a video than this, Russ. Goddamn, that was awful.

    Hands-On: Transformers: War for Cybertron

The game supports 3 person cooperative campaign. Is that local as well, or just online, or what?
