Kojima And del Toro Will Host a Conference at DICE Summit

He did, though it's not hard to imagine that was just an outburst born of frustration with the debacle over Silent Hills. And given what we've seen about that situation, that would be understandable. If you ever listen to interviews or DVD commentaries with Del Toro, he's a pretty passionate...

Unskippable: Metal Wolf Chaos - Mecha Commander-In-Chief

So long, and thanks for all the riffs. It's sad to see this great show ending, but don't be gloomy! Just click over to LRR's site [http://loadingreadyrun.com/], where much merriment is to be had!

Zero Punctuation: Destiny - Always-On Grind

I'm sorry, according to the official Gaming Hipster handbook, you are only permitted to like the following games: Minecraft, Gone Home, Dark Souls, The Walking Dead, FTL, Papers Please, and/or The Stanley Parable. You may appreciate Spec Ops: The Line as something akin to a challenging...

    Well Liked/Reviewed Games...That You *Didn't* Enjoy.

Generally a list of things I found disappointing, rather than outright bad: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon - Don't get me wrong. I didn't hate it, and it was well worth the $5 I spent on it. The writing, voice acting, and humor were great, and I loved the clever shout-outs to 90s shlock action...

    REPORT: Depression Quest Sequel Confirmed

If we have two prophets, doesn't that mean we have to have a Great Schism and a bloody religious war? Another one, I mean. Still, I think the tagline for Oppression Quest, "ZOE QUINN'S ABOUT TO MAKE YOU HER *****" is a touch over the line. Captcha: she sells. Oh, Captcha, so on...

    Zero Punctuation: Daikatana - John Romero's B****

Has it been so long that we've all forgotten "TrannyGate" [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/7959-Papers-Please-and-Brothers-A-Tale-of-Two-Sons]?

A petition to black out Steam for an hour

Where can I sign that petition? A reminder: there's no indication Anita Sarkeesian had anything to do with this petition. It's likely just one of her loony fans trying to "help", or maybe one of her loony detractors pretending to be one of her loony fans in order to stir the pot.

Uncivil War: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Knife Fight!

Yeah, this video made me miss CoD4 so much. Good times.

    LoadingReadyRun: Antiquing

The area where I work has two antique stores across the street from each other. They used to be partners, and now they hate each other. They're constantly fighting over parking lot space and trying to file police reports on each other.

Teenage Male Gamers No Longer Biggest Demographic

OK, I'll bite. Titanfall was a triple A multiplayer game that let you select a female character if you wanted. What percentage of Titanfall's player base is female? Did including female characters actually succeed in attracting female players? Did it make more money as a result? Look, I'm...

EA marketing at its finest or worst I'm not sure it.

If you didn't like the ad, that's probably because it wasn't aimed at you. I mean, it wasn't aimed at me either. Because they're not selling the game, they're selling the experience of competing with and one-upping your friends, which is a huge part of the appeal for Madden's audience.

Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro Team for New Silent Hill

That's fair, I see what you mean a little better. My concern is that "new ideas" are not necessarily good ideas. And familiarity with Kojima's body of work does not give me hope that he is right for Silent Hill. I mean, I'm seeing a massive retcon where it turns out the town of Silent Hill...
