Origin Boss Says Steam Sales "Cheapen Intellectual Property"

Humm, so keep a game at full price and perhaps make more money per sale but don't have a thriving community that plays it, or make it ridiculously cheap and having a flourishing community that expands exponentially not only through the price but through word of mouth and have a longer lasting...

A Moral Conundrum for you guys, Would you sleep with a married person? (READ THE OP BEFORE POSTING)

I'd like to say I wouldn't. I would hate if the person I trusted went out and did that and I wouldn't want to be the guy who sort of supported that. On the one hand, she's going to cheat anyways. If not with me, then someone else. And if it's a one time thing, who will know? On the other...

    Germany Bans the Xbox 360

It was probably delayed in courts. Chances are it was filed shortly after Kinect came out. That's what big companies do, delay the courts until you lose interest or you make more money from it and hire more lawyers to keep stalling or come up with a defence. OT: This is pretty shocking to be...

Can we talk about the "friend zone" and "nice guys" for a moment?

I've been friend zoned a couple times before the asking a girl out, and I've taken it in stride. I have a ton of girls that are friends, girls I'm legitimately not attracted to (just think about girls you know from school, you wouldn't want to get with even half of them, admit it), that if they...

Poll: A Question for All Prospective Writers

I don't think that it has to be your main source of income (or even have to net you any money) for you to be an artist of any kind. The whole point of art is to create it, not make a living off of it. So when people tell me they're writers, I inquire about what they write and I tell them to...

So some woman are afraid of me because of my job....

I'm a plumber, and the same thing happens to me. They treat me like I'm on hard times working a dead end job, when in reality, I'm making three times minimum wage and that's MY minimum wage as a plumber. It's ironic, that tradeswork jobs are in such demand so the wages just go up and up and we...

Cop Tasers Fleeing Handcuffed Girl, Head injuries put her in vegetative state

Everyone is taking sides here but real life isn't black and white. She shouldn't have run from the cops. He shouldn't have tasered someone who was handcuffed. They're both at fault, and we can argue who's more at fault (I'm leaning towards the cop being too lazy or too trigger-happy...

15-year old Stabs Bully 11 Times at Bus Stop, Gets Away With It

This is a weird thing to choose sides on...on one hand, I want to side with the kid that was bullied, because he stood up for himself, but on the other hand, he killed the kid for it. You can stand up for yourself without murdering someone, and you can go to adults to step in if it comes to the...

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Debuts to Lackluster Sales

THIS. Seriously, I was excited for Final Fantasy 13, and so far, it has been one of the only Final Fantasy's that I haven't beaten due to sheer boredom. I used to vehemently defend the series, and used it as the apex of the RPG genre when getting my friends into RPG's. I was very disappointed...

Buying things with your own money appears to be considered 'suspicious activity' now.

LOL, as I was typing it I realized how sketchy it sounded. It's my dads business and it's legit. I think it has to do with bookkeeping and possibly for the wholesale side as well? Keep in mind I'm Canadian and we have two taxes, GST and PST, Provincial Sales Tax and Gross Sales Tax, and in a lot...

    Behold the Skyrim Online Mod

Pure awesome. Skyrim is essentially a single player MMO as it is, with it's scope. I'd love to see how many players they plan to have it, or how much it can max out at. I'd probably prefer smaller servers with my friends, but it could be awesome to have pass say 50 people, for a start. Could be...

Buying things with your own money appears to be considered 'suspicious activity' now.

I work retail and there are many people who buy things with cash, not even debit. These aren't even cheap things, they're spending like $600+ cash. It's kind of odd to have that much money on you. I used to work trades work, and some jobs paid cash so that we could avoid processing the paperwork...

Most memorable opening line in a game

"50,000 people used to live here. Now it's a ghost town. I've never seen anything like it." The intro to CoD4 has always stuck with me. Well, I suppose it's the cinematic of a later scene in the game, but it's the first thing you see. I remember that part in the game gave me chills, and then...

One good thing about Ubisoft DRM

That isn't part of the DRM. DRM has nothing to do with achievements and reward points. DRM is strictly about countering piracy, and ubisofts model requires a constant connection to the internet when played on PC. If they took out their DRM, that wouldn't mean that their achievement or reward...

    Please, Recommend Some Metal!

Off the top of my head, I'm going to recommend Despised Icon, because they are an amazing band, and are currently on hiatus, probably indefinitely. Very technical, lyrics are very good too and are surprisingly deep for a band of this genre.
