The only problem with this sort of game is that if you lose because the girl dies even once, all tension will be lost forever. It's just like 'oh well that's what happens' *restart*. I wish games would stop focusing on gimmicks.

All racing games except Burnout Takedown/Revenge, where you're encouraged to hit the other cars. I sort of look at the other cars and end up drifting towards them, whatever I play. I'm still amazed I got my license tbh.

Hrmm... pretty sure this would fall into this category, but the ending of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. There's a disclaimer before the last chapter telling you to not read it, because it'll only ruin it. It's my favourite series of books ever, and I still haven't read the end.
