Mass Effect 2 wasn't RPG -ey enough. Resident Evil 4 had Ashley. Half Life 2's hovercraft section was a bit crap. Super metroid and Goldeneye have both aged really poorly. Hogs of War for PS1... nope, I can't think of anything.
