Oh man, this looks pretty awesome. I really hope you guys bring out some kind of compilation when the series is done (preferably with director commentary :0). Would be WELL worth the investment.
Episode was a bit weak. I'm a little bit confused as how this show can come out with epic episodes like the Dicelord/Fear ones and then occasional have stupidly gory, childish in joke fests with a little bit of gamer humour thrown in for good mesure.
ANYWAY. WILD THEORY TIME: On the subject...
That was SO EPIC.
It's like the other 18 episodes where just warm up for this. =D Effects where brilliant. Music was perfect. Awesome everything for the emotions part. Less jokes but the ones that DID appear where spot on. Especially "Lord British is going to space!". Oh and the ending. So...
I'm still not sure how much I appreciate the over the top graphic violence in the recent episodes, but the writing and delivery of jokes in this episode was absolutely SPOT ON. Easily the best episode since Laser Cat/Link episode.
I'm a bit of a loss as to what to say, sometimes it feels to me that the video game gags in the series are getting SO obscure they cease being widely recognised pushing more focus onto the running gags which suffer from being in the limelight of the show because they worked better as a delicious...

YEAH! You guys show that 4th Wall who is boss!
I thought that too, although it could still be. I was almost disappointed that they didn't crack into a series of time travel jokes. Twas good none the less.
"Finally, a name I can trust!"
It's funny. I'm an incredibly avid gamer. I've being playing games since I was eight years old, owned most of the consoles ever released, started making my own games when I was fourteen and now at twenty one I just got my games design diploma; I actually found myself loosing interest in games...
Well it's nice to see people are ready to come up with a well constructed, well thought out response. Heven forbid should you acctually supply an evidence to back up your claim. Just in case I didn't clarify why I said what I did...
One of the central themes in TWEWY is about social...
I think its less shallow characters and more that the vast majority of storys written for the modern japanease market select from the same pool of 12 character stereotypes, add some minor personality adjustments (some don't bother even doing that) and then mangle them through whatever the main...
I think it's worthy of note that is one of the few JRPG's where the characters attitudes and appearance fits in with core themes of the game. One of the major themes of TWEWY is level of social disconnection in a world where we talk to each other more than ever. The over the top spiky hair and...
