    First Skyrim review

It's a 300 hour RPG, and people trust reviews where the reviewer has played it for a couple of days or so, maybe 20 hours! Some gamers are so gullible! How long did it take for the truth of the Oblivion cookie-cutter graphics, the ridiculous leveling meaning bandits in 10,000 Glass armour...

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Review

The reviewer might have saved himself and us a lot of time by saying "I don't like it because it never held my hand!". The end. Every line in the whole article was more or less saying the above over and over! And it shows how much dumbed down console games have dumbed down gamers, like this...

    L.A. Noire Review

Fanboys always come out to play when you tell the truth that doesn't match the hype! I have already noticed a thread on a console gaming forum with a poll asking "what's the best RPG of 2011" and includes Dragon Age 2, Skyrim and The Witcher 2. On a PC gaming forum I don't think you would...

    L.A. Noire Review

@ Macrobstar - Broken FIRST WEEK sales figures. That doesn't mean it will be a big enough seller overall to make a profit. Given the $40 million development costs, that's about 4 million sales to break even, maybe a few more. I can't see it doing those numbers. Maybe 2-3 million.

Poll: Dragon Age 2, Skyrim, or The Witcher 2?

How the hell can you have a poll that includes a game not yet out. All the votes for Skyrim should be deleted as obviously they are all fan boys as the game isn't out for 6 months! I don;t know who's more foolish - the person who put together the poll or the people that voted for a game they...

    L.A. Noire Review

I am shocked this game is not on PC. First of all, as the review says, it has some very intellectual moments, secondly it is based in a period that more older PC gamers would know about and appreciate and thirdly, it's no big deal to have 2-3 DVD's because it's all installed to the hard drive...

    Review: Afrika

Surely this should have been released on Wii and/or PC. That's where the market would have been for this type of game. I just can't see it selling many copies to the PS3 kids.

300: Adventuring in the World of Mundane Magic

I don't think the game was played enough by this or other reviewers, as only at the start is it really mostly fed-ex quests. The game had procedural systems within it that provided randomized quests, but also provided scripted quests inbetween, to keep you guessing. Because of it's mix of...

Yeah, PC gaming is really dying ...*sarcasm* (not talking about PC gaming dying!)

When you look at the numbers, PC gaming is definitely shrinking. And if you base a successful format on how many exclusives it gets, then PC gaming is already practically dead. Most of the titles in the OP's link are indie titles, do you think the Jones family will know about these titles...

Defunct GOG.com Promises Statement and Downloads Within Days

All this talk about going to abandonware sites, but I never saw Freespace 2, or Fallout 1 and 2 or Psychonauts on Abandonware sites. Certainly not on legit one's like Abandonia! There is rumours that Atari may be buying them, or there may be a merger with Steam, but either of those ideas fill...

    GOG.com Closes its Digital Doors

"....This is actually a really sad day, as along with Steam, GOG was one of the best places to pick up older games without having to shell out a small fortune on eBay, or fiddle around for hours trying to get a game designed for Windows 95 to work on XP." The above paragraph from the article...

Pachter: DLC Codes Not Hurting Pre-Owned Sales

It will be the end of the games market when it all goes to downloading, which the industry wants purely because it doubles their profits! What the games industry doesn't recognise is that without retail and print media coverage, the industry will die. Mom and Pop are not going to be sure at...

King Arthur: The Role Playing Wargame (PC)

There is now DLC for this game including a sandbox DLC where you can play any faction and set the game up the way you want (beat all faction through war, win through diplomacy, etc) It is an excellent, cheap new game in the guise of DLC, so if you have KATRW I would recommend you get all the DLC!

Third Age Total War - a total conversion of Medieval 2 Total War with the Kngdoms Exspansion

The mod is now up to 2.1 and is just getting better and tighter all the time! :)

Fallout: New Vegas: You Got A Bad Reputation

The media is a funny beast. Not interested in games once they stop selling and only interested in games that are currently, or will make money for the developer's it seems! Hence Fallout 3 was the bees knees with no mention of how the Karma system didn't work well, 'so we took a couple points...
