You aren't "weird". It's your console, use it how you want.
Clearly, however, a lot of people use the DLNA media streaming feature in PS3, and they want PS4 to have that feature as well.
One of the potential scenarios I've heard is the idea that Valve could introduce Half-Life 3 exclusively on Steam Box to drive sales of the platform. Valve is one of the few companies that could get away with releasing a hit AAA game exclusively on a platform no-one owns. And it's clear to me...
With the mindshare Valve has built over the years, they probably have the best shot of anyone at introducing a viable console to compete with the Big Two.
The problem is whatever console they introduce will be based on Linux, so it will not benefit from the deep existing library that Steam on...
I play World Series of Poker: Full House Pro. Find a good cash game table with people who can actually converse, and it's easy to spend hours just chillaxing.
The biggest problem with Xbox One has nothing to do with the console itself. Rather, its biggest problem is that it represented an attempt at fairly radical changes to the business of video games, and people don't like change all that much.
Right now, NeoGAF is one giant PS4 circlejerk, if you ask me. They aren't interested in discussion or dissent; they're only interested in praising PS4 and attacking Xbox One every chance they get.
Um guys, calm down. This is not "more DRM". It's just an app. Uplay already features prominently in Ubisoft's 360 and PS3 games, but it ships on the game disc alongside the game, and you access it through the in-game menu. Ubisoft is merely saying they will break it out into its own app for PS4...
Microsoft does not ban people for playing titles early if they were bought legit (eg. retailer breaks street date or something). They do investigate to check if someone may have benefited from a broken street date and they won't ban if that's the case.
But they will ban people for playing...
Amazing post. Hat tip to you sir, one of the precious few posts that actually brings some intelligent analysis to the discussion.
It's too bad few people will even read, much less comprehend your arguments.
The Valve plan lets you always access your library, even if someone else is playing one of your games. If someone is playing your game, and you sign on and play, the other person will have a few minutes to log off, or buy their own copy of the game.
This is stated clearly in the FAQ for the...
Don't worry, this whole Valve Family Sharing thing is clearly a hoax, because the publishers would hate it... It's going to get abused so much that all the publishers will immediately go bankrupt. Plus, a random pastebin says the shared games will be in demo mode and will only work for 45...
This is clearly a hoax. After all, it can't be done [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/9.819419.19752583] because the publishers would hate it.
Thank you. That is exactly the point I was trying to make. Judging by this and other threads around the interwebs however, I fear your latter point may be sadly correct.
