That doesn't mean things won't change in future with the NX, so why shouldn't that that particular door be left open?
Hopefully when developers program cross-play support they'll be sensible enough to include options for which systems you want to play with and have ways of identifying who's...
Retro Studios is still very much alive.
I'd add Paragon Studios to the list, partially to get City of Heroes back but also to see what else they were cooking up before they were unceremoniously closed by NCsoft.
City of Heroes was the game I never got bored of playing. Played for 6 years, had 61 characters across 4 servers (mostly Defiant) with 14 max level characters. It was difficult to get bored as there were so many potential combinations of powers and costumes to make pretty much any type of hero...
Another issue; with the prevalence of day one patches it's entirely possible that circumventing DRM won't be enough in future if you can't get the patches or re-engineer the game to overcome major bugs.
Games are the perfect medium for 'show, don't tell', yet the opportunity is routinely squandered. We need games to go back to something akin to Half-Life, where you never lose control over the playable character.
He could have gained his powers after the events of the Avengers, but most of his exploits haven't made it out of New York, where they're more legends then anything else. None of the films since Avengers have been set in New York, so it's possible to let him become a hero without getting noticed...
Goes to show you how little I care that I haven't researched this as much as you have. I'd much rather play and enjoy a game then worry about such things.
While exact resolutions and FPS don't concern me so long as I have a consistent, smooth game play experience with a nice aesthetic, I see no real excuse for Next-Gen systems not doing 1080p. The Wii U does it happily, so why shouldn't XB1 and PS4?
Most of the 'best selling New IP' and 'Smashing records' stories relating to Destiny seem to be marketing twaddle to me as they don't actually back the statements up with figures.
The TV advert in the UK though, that really shows desperate scrapping of the very bottom of the barrel and some...
The main impression I got of Tomb Raider is that Crystal Dynamics seemed to be trying to one up Naughty Dog in showing how much more punishment their protagonist could take. Frankly in both, the violence against the character meant little after a while as they'd already proved they could take it...
Bizarre as this decision seems to me (not that it bothers me as I have an Xbox One and looking forwards to RotTR), I can't help but find it amusing that this is kicking up a shit storm, while Bloodborne's exclusivity to PS4 is absolutely fine. Even if the PS4 has hit 10 million to Xbox One's 3.3...
