Cloths get washed when there is a full load to go in the machine. So that works out to about once a week. It's not an AI, it's just a set of heuristic algorithms and a database of 'learnt' information. So it's not like it was self aware. Also, when/if we do ever develop a true A.I. then all bets are off, once the program becomes self aware then we can't predict how it's going to develop...
