There is actually already a way to do that to do that in the Controller-settings in the HOME-menu. I imagine that it makes the controller go a bit easier on the battery as well.

Ah, but that's where you're wrong. There was a point early on in AC2 where Ezio was, in fact, carrying a box. Although I guess that it could be argued that Desmond hasn't absorbed the necessary level of box-carrying-skills to be able to carry boxes himself. :P
