My main form of entertainment as a child were science textbooks (poor family growing up, no TV, but library books cost nothing to read) so I didn't need any sort of "talk."

Half-Life 2. Linear levels, boring monologues, flat uninteresting characters, a barebones and poorly written story, repetitive combat, and a legion of fanboys who sing its praises as the greatest game ever made. It's like the exact opposite of my favourite game, Thief 2.

Planetes, as it's not only hard sci-fi (and thus the opposite of anime's normal absurdity) but it also seems to have much less Japanese cultural influence than most anime.

Funny, I can't bear standard MMOs for more than ten minutes, and Asian MMOs are the worst of the worst. Assuming it's an MMO, anyways.

I don't see why everyone's getting worked up about this; American parents pay doctors to mutilate their baby sons all the time because a primitive desert tribe couldn't let go of its barbaric traditions.

For the record it costs less to upgrade the normal work PC that everyone with a job and a house owns into a gaming PC than it does to buy a current-gen console (much less, a current-gen console plus accessories). I'm sorry you think we all bought Alienwares or Power Macs.

That is a euphemism for "dumbed down." Call it what you like, doesn't change what's happened. And for what it's worth, these arguments are usually PC gamers responding to not-so-subtle trolls like the OP.

But the world already uses the best language in existence, English.
