I know with Xenoblade Chronicles at least, Nintendo outright owns Monolith Soft, the developers and I don't think Mistwalker (of the Last Story) have ever released a game on more than one console. Pandora's Tower just kind of did eh overall.

I don't mean to be pendantic, but X is one of the few franchises that never really stopped. I mean, counting expansions, there's like 7 games made since 1999.

Also, it was Ghostlight who are notoriously bad at timely releases. Atlus is now working with NISA to release stuff in Europe, and they will most likely try for a simultaneous release, in Europe and North America if nothing else.
